I also came across an article about this a few days ago (similar article title that you originally read on facebook). I did some research on this at the time, and there were only a couple articles on it then based on a quick Google search. They all made it sound like Emirates was launching flights to Montego Bay, but one of those articles had it buried in there in one sentence that Condor would operate the FRA-MBJ service. It seems way more media outlets have picked up the story since then, and the new ones don't mention the Condor part (because the Minister's claims make it sound like EK is launching flights on their own metal to MBJ).
Also, it seems Condor's FRA-MBJ flight currently operates 2x weekly, but will be decreasing to 1x weekly this month (presumably so the spare plane can operate other summer Condor frequencies). So, MBJ is technically seeing a reduction in service, rather than an expansion as it sounds like from all of the media 🙂
EK files fares from MBJ to DXB and use DE for TATL: MBJ-DE-FRA-DXB, so this is it.

Thanks for the article. Since Bartlett went to the UAE I have been saying that there is not enough potential traffic to fill a wide body aircraft flying between the two countries. And of course, Emirates does not have permission to take passengers from Germany onwards except to the UAE. Let's see
One way to clear this up, journalist should contact Jcaa and the Dubai civil aviation authority.
