In other news, another passenger released some energy on a fitness influencer.

Impossible to even try and talk to people like this. Only option would have been for the purser to INSTRUCT her to cease this nonsense and sit down.
"Influencer" Just stop. STOP using that silly term. Who is this dork influencing? Absolutely NO ONE on that plane.

She is rude, crude, ignorant and insensitive towards the feelings of her fellow passengers.
She can be thankful that she did not display her disrespectful behaviour on a flight which I was also a passenger …. I would have found it necessary to carry out my own exercise by walking up and down the gangway she had appropriated.

either she was taking an extremely inefficient routing or this includes other airlines..?
- article says "she was flying to the United States," the longest US flight operated by EK on a 777 is like DFW-DXB (IAH is an A380 rn) at 16 hours
- even if she's coming from somewhere quite far, I'll take Johannesburg or Jakarta, that adds on another 8h or so
- add on 3.5 hours to connect since EK banks can get big
...and you're still "only" at ~28 hours. any longer than that and you'd have plenty of time to release energy even by going to the gym at DXB
She's an influencer. She got views, she got clicks. She accomplished her task. She don't give a damn about being inconsiderate.
In all honesty, she would annoy me less on a flight than someone watching a video on their phone without earbuds.
EK should ban her. This kind of behavior is evidence of serious mental issues and you don't want people like that on your planes.

Influencers are insecure people who have a 24*7 job of seeking attention. So why are this lady's shenanigans a surprise? She also provided content for your blog and got people talking about it, so I would say she was quite successful. 🙂

modicum of common sense/courtesy in her overinflated head. ( I wouldn't hold my
breath on this ).
2) Hope for a random air pocket to accomplish the above.
3) Send a trash filled galley car careening down the aisle to knock her flat on her arse !
(That way we don't inconvenience the poor innocent pax s the first 2 scenarios ). Maybe come up with something similar for her husband who did nothing to reel her in and in that way aided & abetted her to
inflict her behavior on the poor captive audience.
Sadly, though, all the other pax would be rightly startled and have to pay the price for
boorish behavior.

What does the southern hemisphere have to do with this story? The woman is from Mexico, which is in the northern hemisphere.
There are people with class and manners, and people without class and manners, in all parts of the world.
Press the call bell, and bring her behaviour to the cabin crew. If she is disturbing other passengers they should direct her to stop immediately. Her compliance with cabin crew directions is mandatory, and refusal would result in her arrest on arrival in Dubai.
People from the Northern hemisphere have no clue about geography or even hemispheres.

I would have lost it if she'd done that close to me, imagine trying to sleep on a flight and someone does this next to you... And I would have pressed the call button to get a FA to address this.
