To finish off my Iceland to The Residence via Cambodia trip, I flew Delta first class from Boston (BOS) to Miami (MIA). While I won’t write about the flight (I’ve reviewed Delta’s domestic first class several times before), I did want to review the Delta Sky Club at Boston Logan Airport.

Since the D1 lounge is essentially just a restaurant style seating that ropes off area is used for D1 lounge people who want to sit in a more lounge style and still get waited on for drinks and snacks from the D1 lounge.
Nothing like a glimpse of a recursive lounge of the 2nd order.
I don't think the food at Delta clubs is necessarily in a different league than others anymore. Maybe it's marginally better, but the food at the AA club in Boston is "in that league" at least to me. Delta probably has 1-2 more options on hot food, but the quality of the food itself is about what you pictured. Bowl of standalone strawberries is nice though.
Hey Ben, why didn't you mention the omelette station? We had the same good fortune as you to visit this lounge in the morning for our flight to the Bahamas (at the Rosewood, booked by Ford 😀 ) and there was a dedicated area with a chef taking requests for custom omelettes with tons of fresh ingredients. I'd have to say that was the highlight of any Sky Club visit I've ever had!
You can definitely enter through security multiple times. I recently visited the Sapphire lounge in Terminal C, then re-entered with no problem at Terminal A for a Delta flight. It’s a long walk to terminal E, though.
What's strange is DL's BOS-MIA has never left out of terminal E. As Ben points out that's reserved for intl flights . I've sometimes seen transcons depart from there a while back but never a short domestic flight

Someone seems to have spent a lot of time in a certain premier lounge in Sidney before designing this Boston joint.
Just wanted to confirm what has been noted already by others, the comments are no longer accessible beyond the top 3.
Agreed with others that the comments are no longer accessible -- only the "most helpful comments" are visible, typically limited to three, that are part of the main article page.
Also experiencing the comment issue. Consistent across Safari or Chrome on iOS nd both Chrome and MS Edge on Windows.

I'll fully admit and own up to posts where I thought Delta would lapse Sky Club standards after their D1 lounges opened to meet general standards with the AC and UA clubs.
Good on Delta for keeping the Sky Clubs at a higher level. #respect
Let's hope Admiral's Clubs (in particular) and UA clubs come up to the new level of credit card US3 lounges
Note that if you are flying domestic from Terminal A and you'd like to enjoy the Terminal E lounge, Delta provides a post-security shuttle bus from A13 to Terminal E. We did this on a recent trip BOS - ATL - CPT. It is about a 10 minute bus ride and the bus may not leave immediately so make sure you give yourself plenty of time.
One thing Delta is working on AND NEEDS at lounges are more family restrooms/adult changing rooms because traveling with an elderly parent or child who needs assistance is rarely thought of by airlines or airports except MSP! If we are lucky to live long enough we will have one or more disabilities that may require assistance from caregivers. Yet designers rarely think about utilizing inclusive design...instead they only incorporate ADA compliance.
I'd love to see Ed Bastian try assisting his mom use the tiny single aisle aircraft bathrooms...I bet Delta aircraft bathrooms would become much larger a lot quicker than any regulation would require.
Depends on aircraft rotations. DL has some (short) international narrowbody service out of BOS and those planes arrive at E. They often have a domestic as their next flight. DL serves CUN, AUA, LIR, MBJ, NAS, PLS, and PUJ which would have to arrive at E; if the scheduled turn is too short to tow it to A, that domestic will end up as an E departure.
DL1399 (usually 7-ish) frequently departs from E, from the FR24 playbacks. It definitely did on November 6 when Ben flew it (though in that case, the 737-800 arrived at E from FLL the previous night)
Except, the trip can take a lot longer, as vehicle needs to stop for every plane entering or leaving the gate. I avoid BOS when I can because you need to get from A to E, and walking requires you go through TSA again. I will in April, but I've got a 3+ hour buffer. They won't let me in the DL1 lounge though, as my J-class flight is a DL code share on an AF plane.
I think other than the design / layout it is very similar in offering to other Delta lounges. Odd that there doesn't seem to be a Delta lounge in Terminal A considering most of their domestic flights are from there and it's otherwise inconvenient.
Does anyone have recent experience using this lounge for the Cathay Pacific 1:45am departure? This article lists the hours as to 12:00am, the Delta website lists to 1:00am, other websites suggest earlier closings. Looking for a real experience to base my arrival time at Logan on. If the lounge is closed I'll cut arrival closer. Thanks
