Regarding Delta One Lounge access, as a practical matter, the terminal in which many Sky Team partners operate is often different from the terminal in which Delta operates and it is simply not convenient. It would make huge sense if terminals were alliance-based (think connecting itineraries). The planned LAX Terminal 9 is to be the Star Alliance international terminal, with those airlines moving from TBIT.
Who Can Access Delta Sky Clubs?
- People who have the patience to wait in line for free food and beverage.
These overviews are incredibly helpful, especially when airline programs change, adding new terms or restrictions (or new products, like D1 lounges).
Like, I think many are surprised to learn that domestic First doesn't usually get lounge access (on its own). And, many who have Delta credit cards (like Gold, Platinum co-branded), might think they have lounge access, but don't really know the nuance of which products do and don't include that (Amex Platinum card does include the 10 visits per calendar year, but that product is not to be confused with the Delta Platinum card, which is also an Amex). Then, to further confuse everyone, there's Platinum Medallion, the status, not a card, which on its own, may or may not have access, depending on where you're flying, say transcon or international, etc.)
So, once more, this is a good guide for people.

Hi Ben, also include us LifeTime members. My card says 'Executive' with membership valid thru 12/31/79. BTW, I have two life goals: Short Term to make the next Happy Hour and Long Term to outlive my Sky Club membership
Do you also get Sky Club access at the domestic departure airport leaving on Delta First Class then connecting to international on Sky Team Business Class; i.e., at both airports?
What I don’t see fully addressed are Lifetime members (though it is mentioned with regard to access with a basic economy ticket).
One of the benefits for lifetime members is that we do NOT need to be flying Delta, SkyTeam, or ANY carrier for that matter in order to gain entrance.
Does an incoming First Class Flight with Lufthansa and an ongoing AA domestic first flight grant access? It should as far as o know?

I think this part of the article may be incorrect: On Delta-operated flights, simply being booked in First/Business Class to Canada or Mexico does not automatically provide Sky Club access unless the flight is actually marketed as Delta One. Delta’s own access rules make that distinction pretty clearly. There is a separate exception for Gold/Platinum/Diamond Medallion members traveling in First to Canada, Mexico, or Central America, but that’s status-based access, not access from the premium-cabin ticket itself.
