Could they just use them for a week and sell them used? Or simply lease them back to Delta?
A lot of people speculated that Delta would have AF/KLM take over the order and then lease them to Delta, so I guess this isn't that far off from that assumption. I still think in the end Delta will end up with their planes.
I wonder why Canada doesn't teach Boeing a lesson by imposing a 500% duty on buying US made aircrafts and by that forcing Air Canada towards buying only Airbus planes?
@Lior, Canadians didn’t like Airbus due to some fishy trade deal years ago. Air Canada does not buy Airbus planes anymore...which is a shame because all of Air Canada’s longhaul fleet have tiny seats in economy, the A350 and A330 are better for passenger comfort.
It would be sweet if AeroMexico were to delay or cancel the Boeing order to accomodate the Bombardier Jets.
@Prabuddha maybe, but that would be a huge decrease in capacity. Around 50-56 seats per plane that gets replaced
What would be better and a big increase in capacity would be retiring their embraers and replacing them with the bombardiers.
I expect Aeromexico Connect, Aeromexico's regional subsidiary, would operate the C Series.
