From playing around with Hyatt's website, this fourth night free promotion is false advertising or at the very least some toeing the line. When you compare a 3-night stay plus a 1-night stay to a 4-night promotional stay, the prices are identical. For example, October 17-20 plus October 20-21 would be $1226 in the cheapest room, while the fourth night free promotion October 17-21 would be $1226 in the cheapest room. I checked other dates and in each case, the prices for 3+1 and 4 were identical. So the only real value is the $300 credit. If you are planning to spend $300+ at the property anyway, then it is like a free fourth night. But if you weren't planning to spend that much, then don't fall for the false advertising.

Hey Lucky I think that the 4th night free is actually not "real". Take October 16th to 20th for instance.
If you choose 2 or 3 nights, the lowest price per night is advertised as $252. If you select a room, you can see in the price breakdown per night that this is indeed the price. Oct 16th to 18th, or 18th to 20th yield the same rates.
However if you pick 4 nights, the price is STILL advertised as $252 with 4th night free. When you select a room and check price breakdown, all of a sudden it shows $335 for the first 3 nights and $0 for the last.
So basically... I think they're playing games here and the only real perk is the $300 credit. The 4th night free seems to be a gross marketing trick, unless again I'm completely missing something.

@ Clem @ ZFVFlyer -- You're comparing the advance purchase/non-refundable rate, to the flexible rate. The $252 rate for shorter stays is fully prepaid and non-refundable, and that also can't be combined with Prive perks. Meanwhile the $252 per night rate with fourth night free is refundable up until 14 days, and is stackable with Prive perks.

So the difference is flexibility, the $300 credit, and the ability to add Prive perks.

That’s because you can get the advanced purchase rate for 25% discount when you book 2 or 3 nights. The $252 rate with fourth night free is not advanced purchase and can be cancelled.

@Lucky I also missed the cancellation policy difference, that's a good point, and the Prive program is definitely a huge plus (I booked through Ford several times already, including at this property).
I guess that my mind sees it more as a "flexible cancellation if you book 4 nights" rather than a proper 4th night free, as you'd think it would also apply to prepaid rates. Either way it's still a pretty good rate for a great property.

For those of you who are aware: How much more would it cost (on average) to book with an advisor via Hyatt Privé?

@ Ben Holz -- The rate is the the same as the fourth night free rate. 🙂

Does this imply the 4th night free plus credit will return in 2020 after the peak season?

Dare I ask, is this hotel doing well? They always seem to be offering some incentive, and the room rates are pretty low already for a luxury flagship property. When the rates for the Park Hyatt in Buenos Aires are substantially higher than a Park Hyatt in a coveted Caribbean island, you have to wonder what's up, right?

Rates across the Caribbean are really low right now in part due to the Hurricanes/tropical storms we've been seeing in August/September. A mid-week rate the Rosewood Baha Mar is in the $400s +VAT & service fees for example.

Can this be combined with Prestige fourth night free?

Hey guys, I saw the same deal of AMEX FHR. You get the 4th night and a $300 credit in addition to the usual benefits. It was listed as $251 a day in December. Awesome deal!

@ Anthony -- But if booking through Prive you get a further $100 credit (in addition to the $300 credit), and a confirmed upgrade at the time of booking, subject to availability.

Can I book a standard room through Prive with cash, apply a Globalist confirmed suite upgrade, and still be eligible for a further complimentary Prive suite-->suite upgrade?

@ Hepworth -- You can use a Globalist Suite Upgrade to a standard suite, but you're not entitled to a further upgrade beyond that. That being said, if they do need to move people up or if they're feeling especially generous, they could still upgrade you further.

If you've ever stayed here, you will know that blowing off $300 is pretty easy. Believe my last 5 day stay had $1600 of incidentals.

The service was quite atrocious last time I stayed here. Everyone is on “island time” so if you ask for anything, prepare to wait 1 hour or more...

It’s a beautiful property though...like a replica of the ANDAZ Maui. Just don’t leave the property...it’s quite hard to get taxi service once you’re off the property and didn’t feel safe.

...might be why they keep running promotion several times a year...

This resort has serious service issues, as well as ongoing issues with insects in rooms.

While the design of the rooms is lovely, the resort isn't Park Hyatt quality, especially the spa.

If you must go, rent a car and explore the island. It's easy and safe. Only someone who's not traveled much would feel unsafe on St Kitts. The people are awesome and the local food is fantastic if you're willing to get away from the resort.

I had a completely different experience than @JohnK. Service was fantastic; from request to housekeeping, waitstaff, the concierge and other staff as well. My husband and I also walked around the nearby areas of the hotel and we felt completely safe. We also rented a car through the hotel and explored the rest of the island. We had a fantastic time.
