Ben, I really do love your blog, trust me! But I think that you have been inflating it a bit too much with posts. Do you really think it's that necessary to post the '10 Great fares' for every single world region? I know it's a relatively small details, but those are the ones that lead to the deterioration of the blog... Please don't let it happen
I actually think lucky has sunk pretty low into bank shill territory... and I'm enjoying these posts.
I spent a horrible weekend at the Hyatt regency etoile and while I agree that Paris is expensive I believe that regency is the worst hotel under the Hyatt name (as a glob/diamond I have a seen a bunch as well). They are renovating at the moment so maybe it will improve but my experience last November was horrible/dirty literally bare wires comming from the walls and so dirty white socks would turn black by walking from the bed to the bathroom. I complained and eventually got half my money back, but a real crappy place!!!
@ Lucky: I got the Hyatt Visa card ladt year and we made my wife an authorized user, so she has a card with her name on it, but the account #is exactly the same as mine. Can she still apply for a Hyatt Visa in her own right and get her own number and all the bonuses?
We have the same situation with our IHG Mastercard too.
Interestingly, SPG Amex issued differently numbered cards for us but both tied to a single billing account and my SPG account.
@ RobPHX -- Yep, she can get either card and the bonus. Her being an authorized user doesn't preclude her from applying for the card as the primary member.

As soon as he gets an affiliate link, he will pump 150 posts saying how the Chase Marriott is the greatest card ever even though he never stays at Marriott hotels.
I found both the Cologne and Mainz properties very nice (level 4 and 3, respectively). Stayed in early December while visiting cathedrals and Christmas markets. I used combo of P+C and free night certificate and got outsized value compared to full rates.
In terms of value:category ratio, the Park Hyatt Hamburg is hard to beat. The style and design are solidly representative of the brand, the location is terrific, and the gym/pool/sauna (Club Olympus underground) crushes most other Park Hyatts.
