Duringmy long journey to Abu Dhabi, I had the chance to visit several lounges at Hong Kong Airport. In addition to checking out Cathay Pacific’s The Pier First Class Lounge and The Wing First Class Lounge, I also checked out The Pier Business Class Lounge, which I’ll be reviewing in this installment.

Another great review Ben! Extremely well written with great photos. Bravo!
I have been to this lounge several times and in my opinion it is the best business class lounge in Asia. Much better than anything in Japan, Taiwan, or Singapore. Definitely better than the SQ lounge at Changi.

I rate this as the best Business Class lounge in the world, with QR at DOH and VS at LHR marginally behind. You do a good job of capturing the essence of it in your review

I was also stunned by The Pier, Business which had been the best business class lounge ever visited - until I visited Al Mourjan Garden in Doha later this year.

Wanton noodles sound magnificent! What a fantastic opportunity to dive into Cantonese cuisine. Wait hang on... is this article from an AV geek on a wild trip around the world? I'm confused please fix the first paragraph to confirm.

Oh, the 'horror' ! Nine ( different) teas detailed, but not a single hint of what champagne, brands of liquor or types / varieties of wine mentioned .. apart from the very broad and generic statement 'beer, wine and spirits'.

Otherwise, a great review and exceptional photographs.

Much better than the Qatar Singapore lounge? I think everyone considers that much better than the Silverkris lounges at Changi and some think it's even better than than the Qantas First lounge or TPR there.

I was about to express my disagreement with Lucky, and then saw the other reviews.
I must be the odd one out, and feel that maybe I lost what it takes to enjoy a lounge.
I spent many hours at the lounge before covid, and quite a few after, and while it is indeed beautiful and very relaxing, the food options are very disappointing (to me at least). The tea bar is cute - I tried most of them, and they are mostly meh. The rest of the food offered is just nothing to write home about. Back in the day the Qantas lounge would be the place to go and eat, before chilling at The Pier. I don't think those days will be coming back .

Looks great, I'm keen to try but I'd be surprised if it's as awesome as the Qatar airlines business class lounge at Qatar airport, that place is absolutely next level.
