In early August 2023, Cathay Pacific Group announced its intention to double its Airbus A321neo order. That’s pretty significant, when you consider that Cathay Pacific didn’t even have any narrow body jets a few years ago. There’s now an update, as this order has been finalized.

Lucky, actually there are slightly more A320ceos in HK Express fleet than what you mentioned - 4 ex-Cathay Dragon A320ceos (2 A320, 2 A321) are going to be retrofitted into high density config. to cope with large post-COVID travel demand.
I remember one A320 B-HSL has actually entered service just a few days ago.

Hopefully they will replace their A330s with the B787-10.

On a slightly related note, Zawya is reporting that Emirates has ordered 200 Airbus A350s (and from what I recall, they had previously only ordered 50 of those)

No surprise. Short flight demand for their airline is much higher than long nowadays.
