Flying BA intra Europe is already difficult to distinguish from a ulcc, so agreed no big diff when this starts.
It is absolutely not interesting for me. It is much more important for my family to travel to the East, such as Poland and Russia. It is a pity that they will take someone else's place in the industry. Very, very bad.
You do wonder where they think they'll get the labour required to fly these flights. I can't imagine the number of people wanting to do extremely difficult work for long hours at ~16k basic is high in south London especially when basically every employer is struggling to find low pay workers as is.
BA tried being low cost when they started GO from Stansted. Easyjet took them over and no doubt it'll happen again. When will BA learn they're far too late to the table
