paying 200k for a six hour flight from new york plus 1700$ in taxes and carrier imposed surcharges...can't imagine a scenario in which it makes sense. might as well buy a ticket
the interesting part is a way to get "I" (ish) fares without the advance purchase requirement - seems likely to cannibalize some $12K business class roundtrip late purchases

BA commits to releasing 2 * Club (Business) and 4 * Euro/World Traveller (economy) whtn it first releases flights for sale.
It makes no such committent regarding F or Premium Economy (World Traveller Plus) and it releases those when it wants with no fixed timetable - if it releases any at all that is.
This sucks!
Going USA one way to LON minimal taxes fees; It is leaving out of Heathrow that gets expensive isnt that correct? I would probably only go for the one-way BA ticket and never fly out of London back on this airline due to ENormous surcharges flying out of Heathrow or London more generally. You can get great one-way fares on Norwegian Airlines or other airlines back to the United States. Maybe Return from Manchester or Scotland or the continent.

BA pulled close-in premium award travel many months ago. Same with AA transcons.
Availability just disappeared.
So now there is a way to book using more Avios.
