BILT doesn’t have much private equity funding left. And lawsuits likely incoming. Good riddance to BILT!

I closed my account after receiving the card from Wells Fargo just a few days after receiving the card some time ago. Then I read this: Hard Pass for me as rewarding as it looks

No, Bilt's customer service has not improved; in fact, the messy transition away from Wells Fargo to its new structure ("Bilt 2.0") caused support requests to spike and overwhelmed the company's automated systems. The Transition ChaosSupport Backlogs: Users report that getting human help is extremely difficult, relying heavily on AI chatbots that leave people stuck in multi-day queues.Payment Failures: Following the shift, customers heavily criticized Bilt for delayed or returned rent payments and missing statements inside the app.Regulatory Scrutiny: The rocky shift and breakdown in customer responsiveness grew severe enough to draw inquiries from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and lawmakers.Continuing Glitches: Months after the initial split, users have continued facing administrative errors, such as incorrect collections notices hitting their credit reports. On discussion hubs like WalletHub, opinions and user ratings show deep frustration, with many users stating that customer service remains slow, unhelpful, and difficult to reach following the loss of Wells Fargo's traditional banking infrastructure support.

I've found some restaurants near my work that don't charge extra to use grubhub for pickup orders, so burning an extra 10 bilt cash a month has been pretty easy. I'd be buying lunch anyway, so it's actually worth $10 to me.

Bilt is ridiculously complicated. I will get my bonus this year and then get rid of the two cards I have. It is way to complicated for me and my wife. There are more important things to think about.

Nothin’ wrong with a 1-year churn and burn!

I am lucky enough to get good value out of the card, but I do agree that the card is way too complicated for everyday users.

For example, in order to get the 'most' value out of the card, with a ~5k mortgage, you would need to have more than 70k in spend per year.

Completely overrated card that had every "influencer" pushing. Bottom line is it's complex (when it doesn't need to be) and not providing anywhere near what other premium cards had to offer. Won't be renewing my Palladium.

Some people express having a meltdown over the Amex Platinum's complexity. I respect that -- drop the card. But, don't try to convince those who are successful with the Amex Platinum that it's a rotten card. Respect that it works for them. The same goes with Bilt. Many say Bilt doesn't work for them. I respect that -- drop the card. But, don't try to convince those for whom it is a fit that the card is rotten. Respect that it works for them.

Oh, Lee... let's be clear, hardly anyone has a 'meltdown' over managing their Amex benefits; they just get upset when something is clawed-back (RAT!), pup-up jail for sign-up bonuses, or the annual fees increase and they have to them do silly credits to offset. On the credits, BILT Cash is different from Amex, because you reach a ceiling with BILT Cash, where you have more than you can technically ever redeem before expiration (and if you earn in, say, December, you have burn by the end of the month before the reset). With Amex coupon credits, you just have to spend/use them in-time; it's not like you're unable to find a single FHR property to burn a $300 credit over there. As for 'drop the card,' yeah, probably gonna happen a lot in February if there aren't more ways to use the B$. I'm pleased with some of the recent additions; wish they'd upcap Accelerators (if they do that, or simply add a few more, it'd go a long way.)

Can your $10 a month Lyft credit roll over? With Walgreens, we can save them in the app. If not, how do you add Bilt as a secondary payment method as I get $10 Lyft credit a month with another credit card?
Thank you for any advice that you can share!

I'm surprised to see that you generally rate the accelerator as more valuable than the transfer bonus buy-up.

I maxed out all 5 of my accelerators this year... that cost B$1000, and got me 25,000 points.

I also bought up to the next tier for the BA transfer bonus. That cost me only B$135, and also got me an extra 25,000 avios.

While the transfer bonus is only helpful if the monthly offer is a partner you want to transfer to, you can get a many bonus points in that one month, for one-seventh the cost, as the maximum annual accelerator bonus.
