Introduction: Island Hopping Around Hawaii

Looking forward to reading about your experiences with Hawaiian A330s. And also review of IASS Honolulu lounge. It was the only one so far where I was stopped from taking (more) photos - not that there was much to take photos of anyways! 😀

You should fly Mokulele Airlines. There is no First Class, but the view from flying island to island at slower speed and low altitude is fantastic. The employees make everything lighthearted. We flew Maui to Molokai and back.Loved it.

I miss the Lodge at Ko'ele. The beach property looks like any other cookie cutter Hawaiian property. The Lodge was something else.

It makes no sense to review the HNL iASS lounge at all. You would have been better off visiting the Hawaiian Airlines International Lounge (NOT the Premier Club) since it's available via PP. Very limited hours though.

Love how a "points blogger" rarely uses points. But I do the same - we don't waste points on meh chain hotels in Hawaii -typically book beachfront homes because it's about same cost for a home as it is for decent room in the better properties - except vastly better value and tons more privacy.

It does piss me off that there is so little nonstop premium space to Hawaii. And that so-called F is mostly a joke (nice to see Hawaiian stepping up their game - hopefully Alaska and United get a clue). Same distance from mainland to Hawaii as it is TATL, so lack of decent seats has always irritated me. Hopefully SouthWest lights a fire under the others or lowers load factors enough to find more availability. I dislike Hawaiian because they always want to go thru HNL, adding hours to their flights.
