Having recently moved to Europe, I am curious if you suggest transferring my delta miles to flying blue
How come I can't find any US domestic flights such as NYC to SFO or MIA, or to Mexico flghts on AF website with flying blue miles now? It seems only works for US to European cities now.
Thanks for the details in this post. By the way, not all partner activity will extend the life of your Flying Blue miles. For example, I've transferred miles from American Express to Flying Blue and stayed at a hotel via Booking.com from the Flying Blue link. Both of these activities added Flying Blue miles to my account, but without extending the expiration of all the previously existing Flying Blue miles.
Is it possible to access AF's lounges when flying with AF in business using miles? Their website shows only access "For yourself, if you are traveling in the Business cabin with a Standard or Flex fare". Nothing about award travel.
@Ben -- In your chart at the top listing the partners of Flying Blue, there is a glitch. You list Transavia in one place and TAROM in the other. Please verify/fix.
You can't transfer Delta miles to Flying Blue. You can redeem Delta SkyMiles for flights on Air France/KLM but there is a high likelihood that it will be an awful deal.

Carriers virtually never match status with their own partners. However, having Delta Medallion status will get you some benefits when flying Air France/KLM, and vice versa.

Flying Blue XP conversion issue – missing Platinum for Life year (system inconsistency)

Hello,
I’m flagging a recurring and well-documented issue with Flying Blue XP rollover and Platinum for Life conversion that may be of broader interest.
On the last qualification period (Nov 1, 2024 – Oct 31, 2025), an account showed 910 XP, reached well before the end of the period.
Flying Blue correctly applied:
300 XP to renew Platinum
300 XP rolled over to the next qualification period
However, the additional full 300 XP, which should trigger one extra Platinum for Life year, was never credited.
Since then, support responses have been inconsistent and contradictory:
changing the end date of the same qualification period (Sep 30 / Oct 1 / Oct 31),
mixing two different qualification periods,
relying on an irrelevant prior balance (419 XP) to deny rights on the last period,
providing explanations that are mathematically inconsistent,
and failing to escalate despite extensive exchanges.
The current XP balance should show 320 XP, and one Platinum Life year is missing.
This appears to be a system/process issue rather than an isolated mistake, and may affect other high-tier Flying Blue members.
Sharing this in case it’s useful for analysis or coverage.
