If I have the Everyday card will it keep existing Membership Reward points alive from a Gold card if I close that Gold card? Would they have to be transferred to the Everyday card?

@ GetToThePoints -- Yep, that would allow you to preserve the points! As long as they're linked to the same Amex account, there's nothing further you'd have to do.
