Update On American's New Lounges At LAX

Also those traveling in J or F on a 3 class LAX-MIA should have access, right?

Thanks for the providing the dates, I thought it was closing this month.

T4 Admiral's Club has been basically unusable for a large chunk of this year. Wondering out loud if Citi would reimburse part of the $450 annual fee on the AA Executive card for us LAX based AA flyers that much like you literally walk out of the club since it's unusable at present time.

I've got some Systemwides yet to use on AA this year, so am thinking I'll wait to use them until after the new lounge opens in T4.

Uh…construction has only been taking place during closing hours between 02:00 and 05:00. THAT and Doug Parker's recent visit there is the reason for the closure.

There's no good way to renovate a lounge as busy as the one in T4, but the decision to close it off in such large chunks during the busy summer travel season wasn't a great one. The current space allocated to regular old Admirals Club members is about 50% smaller than what was there before.

As painful as it'll be not having a club in T4, I'm all for it if they can accelerate the construction and just get it done. The current piecemeal approach isn't working well.

Let's not get started on the club out at the Eagle's Nest... it was so exciting when it opened, but there's basically room for 40 people in there (and two individually-locking toilets for men? Seriously? Does AA even look at their passenger demographics?) All it takes is one delayed SFO flight and that club becomes standing room only.

Was at LAX club Terminal 4 and spoke with the manager there. I was told that Terminal 5 will not open until Oct 2017. Apparently Delta took everything including the wallpaper. Also they say Terminal 5 will open without a liquor license...at first. Again as of 7 am this morning the Terminal 4 club will not close to expedite construction. Let see what happens

Its ridiculous that you cant access the lounge if youre flying domestic First.

It you have time, go over to a real lounge, go to Qantas One World lounge in TBIT. Only takes about 10 minutes max to walk over there. They don't give you vouchers for drinks. have all you want for free and they have a real buffet. Americans lounges in the U.S. are a joke.

What about an update on ORD H/K Flagship?

LAX will remain a mess unless and until the remote commuter flight terminal is permanently closed and its operations are shifted to Terminals 4/5, which I understand is not planned.

So LAX will continue to suck.

Yes, they wont have a liquor license for at least 30 days from the opening date.
