Airlines should add a check of the landing gear wells to that pre-flight walk around pilots do before departure. This is a safety risk for the airplane as well.

It surprises me that the wheel wells don't have cameras installed. Considering the frequency with which stowaways are found, I'll bet it'd be as cost-effective a way to prevent deaths as other things done for airline safety.
Lots of smells on a ramp from fuel to exhaust. The wheel well is also pretty high up there on a 777. It isn't like a 737 where you can walk up to it and literally stick your head in
