Will the voucher be tied to your AA account or could it be used for someone else?

I saw this yesterday. I think its a very slimy promotion.
Its good for the first 100,000 people only. And you won't know right away if you can still claim the promotion. You'll know only well after committing to the purchase. Likely if you were to book now you're not one of the first 100k. So basically its a "thanks suckers for booking with AA, you're getting nothing".

Lucky, you state that the fare must be a minimum of $60 before taxes and fees, but the terms state, "Minimum Fare Value of $60 in order for the Gift to apply. Taxes and fees apply."

I take this to mean that that taxes and fees can count toward the $60 minimum. Is this incorrect?

If I book with miles and use the MasterCard to pay for the taxes/fees will it still count? At the end of the day it shows as an AA purchase in AA.com

Did anyone get a voucher from this? I enrolled and never got an email acknowledgement. I paid for a ticket with my mastercard. I've heard nothing from anyone.

I received my $50 credit and code, and the email states to use the code at checkout. However, the code is a combination of letters and numbers, and AA's system will not accept the code for the offer. I called the AA platinum line, and the representative said that their system will only accept numbers, not letters, and that he cannot help me. I need to speak with customer service to "verify" the code, and have it converted to digits only? He also said he had never heard of this promotion. This is incredibly frustrating. If someone has had success in using their credit, please chime in! Thanks.

Thanks for posting, I was having the same trouble, just called the gold desk and when you go to book your airfare, instead of in the payment section, you put your promo code within the passenger details

When you are in the process of booking your ticket, your passenger details will pull after you've selected your flight, under trip contact, is the promo code and accounts area, enter the promo code and continue the process, once you get to the payment section, you will see the credit will be applied and then you pay for your balance of the ticket like you normally would

It doesn't work. They send you a "promo code to enter at Checkout", but THERE IS NO PLACE ON THEIR "checkout" page to enter a promo code. How stupid.

Interesting... I had a flight booking and needed to sort through emails to find fiancée aadvantage number and found the $50 bonus email I didn't remember receiving. More interestingly when I applied my promo code it took off $107.50 off my total cost. If it was and even $100 I'd assume it applied $50 off to both tickets but not sure why it's an additional $7.50. Searched the web and didn't find anyone reporting a similar story. Happily confused.

Interesting tip about splitting the tickets on two different cards to get the trip protection. Question, wouldn't the trip insurance only cover one person/ticket?

There is on the passenger details page before you go to the payment page. Took me 20 minutes to find it.
