Miami is the fifth largest U.S. local market from Dubai and, even when you exclude Tel Aviv, a top five U.S. market from most Middle Eastern cities. It’s also top ten from India.

I think everyone needs a review of the inaugural flight!

Miami is a MASSIVE market for all of the Middle East. There is no doubt about that.

How does it make sense for this aircraft to sit on the ground for over 10 hours? Can they not turn it quicker than that or is something else going on?

Interesting…thinking that they are making $$ on cargo alone, so why not add passengers.

EK entering MIA with passenger service is likely designed to serve a market it can't afford not to be in, given QR and TK are both in it. The problem for EK will be feed. It will have none at MIA and will depend on O&D. Miami is a hot market now yes, but likely not so much for ME traffic. Will be interesting to se if business demand keeps this flight running. I am not sure it will.

Let's remember that JetBlue started flying from Miami and I'm pretty sure they will increase the number of flights in the near future. Emirates should do well as Qatar & Turkish were.

Which terminal at MIA do you think they’ll use?

Likely terminal H or J, which handles most international flights (its at the other side of the airport from the AA terminal)

It was supposed to start up yesterday (June 2nd), but it seems it may have been delayed. I can't seem to find any information on the web about a delay or something.

Why didn't they do this years ago is my big question here.
MCO doesn't have A380 gates, MIA does
FLL is a small airport that can barely handle a 777-200LR, MIA handles everything
MIA was a perfect destination for Emirates especially in 2019 when they can choose to use gates J17, E24/E25, and E6/E8 to handle future A380 ops.

Will they have the new First Class product for the 777?

To attract more Asian airlines to come to MIA because Miami and South Florida are booming in financial world and leisure. Miami will be the crypto financial center with the South Wall Street. One of the best trading routes as Dubai, Singapore, Panama, Hong Kong and Tanger, Well known internationally recognized names in the USA cities are Miami, Los Angeles and New York.

I need to know if this flight has the new first class cabins designed by Mercedes??? I don't see the word suite on my ticket.....

I just took this DXB-MIA in first class and it had the old first class product. Very few aircraft offer the new first class.

I think the key thing is not many Asian travellers are going to know that Ft Lauderdale is close enough to Miami.
