LOL. Yeah right, the government is going to be debating internally and someone says "Oh wait, but AA cut mileage accrual in N, G, and S fare buckets."

Does cutting the earning rates on discount economy to what is pretty much the industry standard anyway really provide any leverage at all?
@ Eric -- Not specifically, but it's part of a bigger argument they're making. "This is bad for consumers -- we're downgrading planes/cutting capacity, cutting benefits for frequent flyers, etc."
