Why is it anyway, that you can only redeem on CX between EU and Asia?
I can't wait for Alaska to partner with someone to have redemption options to Europe. KLM and Air France don't release award space to Alaska, American's availability is all but gone, Delta is gone, British Airways has taxes and fees that come up to retail ticket price, so that leaves only Iceland Air which is again something of a ghost right now.

When Booking a flight on JAL, how do I make sure receive credit towards Alaska Elite status? When booking the flight on JAL there is no option for my Alaska mileage number. Is this as easy as calling JAL or is there a different way?
