I can't believe you haven't been banned from the airline for all the snark you post!
I am flustered by how this man is allowed to stay in his role. His comments about the Miami incident are downright scary. Any good CEO takes responsibility and commits to increasing safety. Then speaking about hanging Richard Anderson on a wall in any context is the utmost of disrespect and I professionalism possible. He is so tough on his employees yet he himself gives his airline the worst image of all
You forgot his comment about Airbus bringing a "crap test aircraft" to an airshow. Read about it yesterday on a different blog.
Qatar should think of PE as many companies are getting cheap and wont let you fly Biz class and they know Y class is HELL on ALL airlines -- PE can be the only answer!
I do agree with Ben that the PR announcement was useless -- who cares!

The most frightening thing are his comments about the Miami incident. Even though he constantly prattles on about how much QR values safety, his response regarding the Miami incident says anything otherwise. After learning about how QR treats its employees and seeing evidence of it on the four flights six flights I've travelled with them on in the past three years, this is just the icing on the cake. Oh and don't get me started on that Muppet Trump.

I like this guy . He's a bit flaky but ,a lot more real . I am deathly tired of the now standardized announcements that corporate hacks make about how safety is so very important to the company .
These announcements are now mandatory and expected and mean nothing .Kind of like Ari Fleischer at a press conference .

On my way to Doha last week I had the chance to meet HE Mr Baker in person. We changed some words when leaving the plane. I am thankful what changes he had brought to aviation industry! He set milestones. He is interested in every detail. This is how an CEO should act. I was really impressed about his personality.
Funny, his "personality" is what impresses me the least. I don't think he is much of a person and I won't patronize people who are not decent no matter how many government dollars they dangle in front of me.
And I am especially not impressed by airlines that are not particularly interested in safety.
Stay away from Qatar Airways unless you want your checked luggage be stolen or "confiscated" and then staff in three countries give you runaround. I am trying to get hold of someone in charge of US operations with no luck. Does anyone know who is in charge of their operations in US? If you do, please provide me the contact info.
A CEO can say anything he wants but people will judge the company by its workers.

Agreed. He might say things, which we don't want to hear, but at least he's truthful. Do you really think that all airplane CEO's care about customers safety. Some others probably don't and are lying. So would that really be better. For him to lie?
Would absolutely love to hear his ideas now after the 45th POTUS ACTUALLY enforced the muslim ban (though not for Qatar).
Why Mr. Al Baker is not that eager to defend "Mein Trumpf" again?
I am not able to redeem miles online. I do not mean a situation where seats or unavailable or the 2X miles (due to demand) are required. I mean the system does not take me to the page where I can pick destinations and dates.
This has been the case for over a month and I have been in communication with privilege club who send me link that is dead or a link that loops back to the Home Page or other pages.
Can your IT do a test, rather than have me be the test?
Might be useful to learn when was the last time any airline redemption was done.
