Often buying points strategically can be a good value, and Alaska Atmos Rewards (formerly known as Alaska Mileage Plan) is one of my favorite programs to buy points from, both thanks to the frequency with which the program sells points, and what a good deal award redemptions can be.

Are you sure that stopovers are still allowed on partner tickets? I have not been able to get that to work for the last year or so. A silent devaluation as far as I can tell.

Also not sure if you noticed, but Alaska is blocking Condor space to and from the US these days, you can only find the high-priced 200k+ space now.

KUL to SFO = 215K Points = $3600.00.

Yes you can but you have to do it at the initial booking. (Using multi city option) Alaska NO LONGER ALLOWS adding stop overs after the fact. This was the case earlier this year when they “upgraded” their system.
