These airplane hotels are a joke; they never have enough money to maintain them, the service is always shabby and the rooms are a joke. And these typo commenters are the worst type of people on the planet.

Very interesting but has challenges.
1. Poor thermal and sound insulation compared to a regular hotel? Cannot open windows.
2. Plane is no longer very authentic from the inside.

I prefer museums where they keep the plane like it was when in passenger service.

I once stayed at a Saab aircraft themed hotel in downtown Linkoping, Sweden around 1998. There were display artifacts and art about aviation and Saab aircraft. I wonder if the hotel is still around. A quick Google search could not find it.

Sign me up. Seems like a fun way to spend an airport hotel night vs some of the options available.

personally, i don't get the attraction to this type of lodging. I would be more interested in sleeping in a real First Class product like Singapore's or Etihad's, i.e. First Class Suites. Throw in some sound effects of engine noise, bounce it around a bit for turbulence. Have FAs bring airplane food. Maybe even set up some kind of screen around the plane so when you look out the window you see clouds. Give as close to a real F experience as possible on the ground.

With the amount of A380’s that are being retired perhaps they could link 2 or 3 more.

It sounds like a terrific idea - maybe more than one but the major cost of course is land and they take up a lot of land area which is actually air space
