Air France Opening Pop-Up Restaurant In Paris, Serving Airplane Food
Air France is shortly opening a pop-up restaurant in Paris, just in time for summer, where guests can enjoy the carrier’s signature long haul business class meals. I can’t help but find this concept to simultaneously be both cute and funny, since it’s not often that people pay money to eat airplane food on the…

I don’t think we’ll see American Airlines open a pop-up restaurant anytime soon.
Never say never! Maybe AA will revolutionize the food scene at every single Marriott and Ascension hospital out there 😉
My understanding is that our taste buds find flavors to be muted when flying at altitude, so most airlines add more salt to make airplane food taste better. Assuming that's correct. will Air France's food taste overly salty on the ground?
Chic & smart promotional venue for AF on top of the most beautiful department store in the world, imo. AF just has a level of sophistication above all the rest.

Hard to say, maybe AA will try to generate extra revenue by foisting their food in school cafeterias or federal prisons.
We will have to give it a squirt in two weeks time …. watch this space.
Thank you for sharing this article with us Ben.
…. and on the right side of the pond AA opened up restaurants decades ago don’t you know!
They are called a…a…McDonald over here …. 🙂

Although I've never had the " plaisir " of visiting this paritcular " magasin ", Some venues of El Corte Ingles in both BCN / MAD are impressive as well. Unlike in the United States, sadly, where such department stores are permanently closing and left as derelict to rot in the remnants of huge failed shopping malls..As the behemoth Amazon overtakes the retail industry ...
But I'm sure you can request a special meal to comply with religious / dietary "restrictions'..., or check out AF's equivalent of " Book the Cook " , n'est-ce pas, mon cherie ?? Malheureusement, What's with the '1 glass champagne & 2 glasses of wine ? Sounds more akin to a Premium Economy experience considering these 'quotas' and a singular coffee & 1/2 H2O bottle even a tad more, albeit not that draconian..,, bisous !
Gracias, señor, pero se refiere a cuales países, ? España o Colombia ?
Haven't been to either Cartagena, but they both sound/look great....
Absolutely love those late night / early morning lingering dinners with great vino & convo !
Ciao !
It may be the 'right' side of the pond but the 'wrong' execution as that repulsive corporate leviathan 'colonizes' the 'mother-ship' .... Talk 'bout karma, whatta turnabout, getting revenge one poisonous junk 'UNhappy' meal at a time .. ! 🙁
LOL -- I thought all 3 had already been sub-contracting with the same dismal firm !
There's nothing for an aviation geek to care about other than the branding. The food may look like the same food as the plane but will not be the same. First, because the food will not be reheated as it is on the plane. Second, because the ingredients will be modified as it will not be served so high up where one's taste changes. Also, I would have thought 93 Euros per person for this experience is rather steep.
The ‘real one’ bossa in Mercia, Spain. How remiss of me to forget that there is more than one.
The Cartagena, to which I am referring remains predominantly Spanish, not too many Northern Europeans about. Except on the odd occasion when a cruise ship docks and most of the businesses close for the day.
Hopefully it's better than what they serve in-flight... my last business class meal on Air France was absolutely horrible!
