Dear Mr. Treasury Secretary,
I've been working on an airline idea where we fly from Tampa (where I live) to a variety of vacation destinations that I like to visit such as Davos and Bali using a small fleet of Gulfstream G650s. I'm requesting a small $2-3 billion CARES Act grant to get this little airline off the ground. I think it will benefit literally dozens of my friends. After all, at this point it isn't even real money anymore... Thank you for your time.

I love this. Just what we need to reopen the travel sector of the economy. In the era of Covid19 we def need an airline with a bold vision of cramming 400 people on a jet This is no more far fetched than giving millions to Shake Shack. Good luck to them.

P.S. We are willing put President Trump’s face on the side of our 747’s as proof of concept for the very reasonable cost of $5 per mile of flight...if you’d like us to include his hair it’s going to be another $2 because frankly we’d have to hire a better artist.

Doug- fantastic idea. We should all propose similar airlines with a codeshare arrangement and daily connecting flights. That way only one of our applications has to slip through the cracks...
I don' t know if you remember but Tower Air used to fly Boeing 747's from Coast to Coast.
Considering how many Airbus A380' s are being retired by large carriers like Air France and becoming available on the lease market, that equipment type would be a better fit for Avatar Airlines. Imagine being able to fly 800 passengers coast to coast for $50.00 each way.
