On its own, the card has some limitations, including a 3% foreign transaction fee and reduced transfer ratios to airline partners. Where it really shines is as part of a broader Citi ThankYou setup, since pairing it with a higher tier Strata card unlocks full 1:1 transfer ratios across all partners, including American AAdvantage.
