Amazing Zurich Airport videos!

10

Zurich Airport has some amazing videos they’ve put together, which should be pay per view for any airplane geek.

For example, check out this film they made, entitled “Departures.” They describe it as:

The film is about three passengers departing from Zurich Airport to Boston. All three are very fascinated by the happenings at the airport and around their aircraft. Experience the fascination of flying up close and enjoy the pictures and sound!

Though to be mildly critical I will say that while I love the film for the tarmac views, I have no clue why they tried to incorporate three people into it and make some kind of a story. That aspect of it really doesn’t develop enough to make it interesting, in my opinion. And to see which of you are actually paying attention, can anyone notice the major break in flow/inconsistency in the film?

Even cooler is the film they made earlier, entitled “Summertime.” Amazing tarmac views, and no boring story line to go along with it.

And I have to say, the film is even sexier on my new 27″ iMac. I love this thing.

I thought I was an airplane geek until these videos bored me to tears. I love you all anyway.

The video Ben posted of an AA business class meal being made in the galley was fascinating though:

Total AirPorn... :) 'Summertime' was better, loved the segment of the SQ 380; the cinematography is stellar.

CP@YOW - I noticed this too. Bothered me a bit, also because some of them were cleaner and others dirtier. ;) Noticed though that they were in C on the 340 - in the mini-cabin right behind F. :)

The only thing that bothered me as an airplane geek is that they kept cutting between different planes (HB-JMF, -JML, -JMB and -JMG) and pretended they were the same one. While I can appreciate the overall artistic effect, in some cases the change was so obvious, I found the editing a bit disappointing. (At least they were all A340s!)

The Summertime clip is amazingly shot and had a superb soundtrack to go with it. Couldn't stop rewatching it a few times.

LOL at how they all take air geek photos. And check out the tug that jacks up the nose landing gear! Very cool.

The Summertime one is def better. Saw that a few months ago and it blew my mind. And if you are wondering what is the song, here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzkwFzXkvZg (Two Steps from Hell - Undying Love).

They don't seem to visit any lounge at all, not even the business lounge which all of them are entitled to use... Totally inconceivable! :P
