Aeroplan surprise for Chase Sapphire Reserve card members

There’s a limited time promotion whereby those with the Chase Sapphire Reserve can receive an Aeroplan flight reward certificate that’s worth 5,000 points:

  • Members must register between August 5 and August 18, 2025, with their name, Aeroplan number, and last four digits of their Chase Sapphire Reserve card number
  • The primary card member must register, and the Aeroplan account information must match that on the credit card
  • Flight reward certificates will then be issued within 14 days, and will be valid for 365 days from when they’re issued
  • The certificate can be used to take 5,000 points off the cost of an award, whether it’s for travel on Air Canada or a partner airline

This awesome promotion is worth taking advantage of

I use the Air Canada Aeroplan program all the time for redemptions on Star Alliance carriers, plus other partners. Since I redeem through Aeroplan more than once per year, this promotion will save me 5,000 Aeroplan points.

These certificates are super easy to use, and can be applied toward virtually any award flight, even on partners. So there’s no reason not to take advantage of this.

There are lots of ways to redeem Aeroplan points

Bottom line

Those with the Chase Sapphire Reserve can register to receive a flight reward certificate worth 5,000 Aeroplan points. There’s no reason not to take advantage of this, and it can come in handy whether you want to redeem on Air Canada, or a partner airline.

What do you make of this Aeroplan flight reward certificate promotion?

Imminent Aeroplan devaluation by at least 5000 points expected.

You got me excited by the headline. I remember getting the Aeroplan credit card when it first came out. It came with two 50k certificates and a 10k sign up bonus. Used those certificates (had to add to them) to fly USA to AUH in first class. Spent a few days in UAE as a stopover and then headed to Seoul in business class. Prices have gone up since then and availability has been even worse, but it was a great trip on points for two people back in the day.

I have the same issue. Does the first digit of your last four digit begin with zero?
