Spirit Airlines Flight Attendant Fakes Marriage Proposal For Credit Card Pitch

Spirit Airlines Flight Attendant Fakes Marriage Proposal For Credit Card Pitch

14

I think this might just be the best inflight credit card pitch we’ve ever seen.

Spirit flight attendant fakes marriage proposal

Inflight credit card pitches have become the norm on many airlines nowadays. These can vary significantly — some are boring, some are comically inaccurate, and some are hilarious.

A passenger flying Spirit Airlines recently from New York to Miami posted video footage of a flight attendant’s credit card pitch, and you’ve gotta respect the hustle. In the 45 second video, the flight attendant can be heard saying:

“We have an awesome announcement we would love to share with you guys. This doesn’t usually happen on an aircraft, but this man is about to propose. That’s right, this man is about to propose… propose a great offer on Spirit Airlines.”

That wasn’t all the fun the flight attendant was having. He also pranked passengers by squirting fake mustard out of the overhead bins. You can watch the two videos for yourself below (and I recommend doing so, because his presentation was great).

This guy is such a good vibe!

It’s always nice to see people who seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs, especially at a time like this, when being a flight attendant isn’t exactly easy. This guy awesome, and I hope the company recognizes him as such.

Some might say that this is unprofessional, or something. I disagree. Spirit Airlines offers a basic form of transportation, and anything that can be done to lighten up the mood is a good thing, in my opinion. This isn’t British Airways first class (not that it’s great, but I feel like there’s a certain expectation of taking oneself seriously when in the cabin).

I also have to give the guy credit for his creativity, as I’ve never heard of a credit card pitch like that before. I prefer this to the typical rehearsed jokes that you might find on some other airlines.

Bottom line

A Spirit Airlines flight attendant got creative with his credit card pitch, and pretended like he was about to propose marriage, rather than proposing applying for a Spirit Airlines credit card. This guy is hilarious, and this is much more entertaining than any credit card pitch I’ve heard on American Airlines.

What do you make of this Spirit Airlines flight attendant’s “proposal?”

Best deal in the air, and much better on time performance than almost all other airlines now, including American. Fact, Spirit now days is a better product than American, and so much cheaper.

"You have a choice in air travel." "You get what you pay for." Square this two and = Spirit.

Unfortunately we seem to live in a world in which "low rent" seems to have greater appeal than years before. If I want to watch comedy I'll stream it from my tablet not a flight attendant wannabe actor.

Sad that crew members have to pitch credit cards.

Only a matter of time before no drinks are served in economy, UNLESS you take a credit card application packet from the FA.

It’s funny because Sprint’s credit card is also a joke.

I'll never forget the time the United Express flight attendants actually did the credit card pinch (but didn't pass out water, which sometimes would happen pre-COVID) on the obserdly short SBN-ORD 84 mile puddle jumper, on a day when the winds were favorable so we didn't have to circle around to the west side suburbs (which often happens) and we landed in Chicago going straight in from the east. (Double post because my original is filled with horrible mistakes because I dictated it!!)

I remember I once heard a very funny preflight safety presentation on United. I loved it.

A few weeks later, I was on a flight with the same attendant, and he did the same schtick. The second time it wasn’t funny. It was just kind of annoying.

I then heard it a third time a few weeks later and I thought it was just plain dumb.

I don't like credit card presentations. At worse, just a sentence that there's a good offer detailed in the magazine or by asking the flight attendants for a flyer.
