Multi-City Awards Redeems

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Hi Lucky,
I want to travel from San Diego to London then after a few days continue on to Zurich using my American Airlines miles. I thought I read an article by you that stated this could be done without using extra miles for the layoff in London. Is this possible? If so, how do I do it??
    Thanks.

    Hey Jill,

American doesn’t allow stopovers (any connection of more than 24 hours) on award tickets, so you wouldn’t be able to do that without spending additional miles, unfortunately.

That being said, if you can get ahold of some Avios, that would be a much less expensive award for the London > Zurich flight.

Alaska miles would let you fly SAN-LHR, stop then continue LHR-SRH, but BA carries heavy fuel surcharges.
