Citi AA Advantage – Award tickets

Citi AA Advantage – Award tickets

  1. Anonymous Guest

Hi there, my wife just booked 3 award tickets (Wife, kid and I) using the miles on her account (same reservation). We are planning to cancel her aa citi card when the annual fee is due (which will happen before our travel date). Since I also have the aa citi card, will we be able to have the first bag checked free (each of us)? I’m just wondering if we would have any problem with that (since we booked the award tickets using her miles…). Does anyone know? Thanks in advance!

Did you pay the tax/fees using your own credit card? If yes, you’re good for sure.
If not, you should still be fine I guess because when the ticket was issued, it added free checked bag.
