If I book a business class award ticket JFK to BKK via HKG and the JFK to HKG segment is business class, while the HKG to BKK is economy, will I have access to the HKG lounge?

Assuming you are flying CX you should have access to the lounge with a same day itinerary under one world rules.

I am flying CX however a 20 hour layover so next day flight so no same day itinerary
