Hey OMAAT community,
I have always wanted to try out LX F and I was actually due to fly it last year (booked rt ticket to JFK for under 2k€), however I had to cancel the ticket. So far I haven’t come across any fares as good as this one and I am desperate to try them (having an inflexible schedule doesn’t help either).

However, I have seen that LX operates on Fridays a B777 between VIE and ZRH which features F, however it is not for sell. Given that I have Senator status with LH, do you think it would be possible to obtain a complimentary upgrade (J–>F)? Although I have 1 upgrade voucher left from LH, it would seem to me as a waste to use it on such a short flight.

You can ask about the complimentary upgrade but it also depends on whether Senator status includes complimentary upgrades at all.

You can set Google Flights alerts for LX F – try that?

If it is a 777 flight that is sold as two cabin, you can usually select the F seat if you purchase the J fare. Especially with LH Senator Status, you would most likely be able to select the seat for free, albeit with J service.

I hadn’t realized that and I actually went on LH’s website and realized that HON circle and Gold are the only ones allowed to book seats in advance (including F). Booked on April 14th!
