AsiaMiles – should I start an account?

AsiaMiles – should I start an account?

Hello —
My partner and I are planning a vacation trip to India.
We are usually United/Star Alliance people but during this trip will end up on Cathay Pacific, Jet Airways, and Air Sri Lanka. Also will stay in a lot of Taj Hotels. Each of these can credit to Asia Miles. We could also credit Cathay and Air Sri Lanka to our (now empty) BA Avios accounts, but think AsiaMiles might be worth trying.
I also have a Citibank Prestige Card (thanks to recommendation from this site) and have been able to earn over 120,000 Thank You points in under six months…and these points can be transferred to AsiaMiles as well.
So…do you have any opinion on the AsiaMiles program?
Thank you!

@aginsf, it’s not a commonly used program in the US. Have you considered crediting to AA? If by Air Sri Lanka you mean Sri Lankan then all those airlines should credit with AA too. I would also check the earning rates for partners for your class of travel before making a decision.
