I’m looking forward to heading to Texas tomorrow, for more than one reason. First of all, it’s warm in Texas. Yes, that’s coming from a Floridian that had to wake up in 20 degree weather this morning. 70 degrees sounds so nice right about now.
More importantly, this weekend is the Continental Do. This is my first one, but I’ve heard nothing but great things about them, so I’m excited.
I’ll be flying from Tampa to Houston via Detroit on Northwest (I know, turning a 700 mile fight into a 2,000 mile journey). Fortunately all of my upgrades cleared six days out, and unlike last time, the whole seatmap didn’t fill up at the six day window. Only about three additional seats were taken on each flight, comparing the seatmap before and after the Platinum upgrade window.
I’ll be mattress running in Houston (between the Doubletree and the Hampton Inn), and should have internet access, so expect no blogging interruption.
I hope to see some of you there.
Have fun. Look for my rock at DTW. Can't wait to read your report.
I was seriously considering that, Gene, especially since I have a BOGO. In the end I decided against it, considering that activities go from 6PM to midnight on Friday and basically all day on Saturday. I'd end up spending hundreds on cabs and would hardly get any time in the hotel.
You should try out the IC Houston!
Have fun. Sorry I had to bail.
