Porsha Williams’ Delta First Class Inflight Kerfuffle: What Really Went Down?

Porsha Williams’ Delta First Class Inflight Kerfuffle: What Really Went Down?

9

On November 16, 2025, Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member Porsha Williams was seen being escorted off a Delta Air Lines flight by police. She had just flown Delta first class from Las Vegas (LAS) to Atlanta (ATL) after attending BravoCon, and we didn’t actually know what happened at the time.

Police body cam footage from the incident has now been released, and tells the story of what happened. I realize (hope?) that most people don’t actually care about Real Housewives, but it’s an interesting story of an inflight incident that clearly escalated, and I’d find it equally interesting if it were just two random people.

Police body cam footage reveals details of Delta incident

Police met a Delta flight in Atlanta, after reports that Porsha Williams had assaulted another passenger. Police body cam footage posted online gives us insights into the statements of Williams, the other passenger, as well as two eyewitnesses.

Both parties seem to agree on how this incident started. When Williams got to her seat, she started watching Instagram videos without headphones at a loud volume for an extended period of time. Eventually the woman sitting next to her asked if she was going to have to listen to that for the entire flight. Williams responded with “well, do you want to?” The woman replied that she didn’t, and Williams told her that there was a nicer way she could’ve said that.

Both parties seem to agree on the details up until that point, but then they have different versions of events. Williams claims that the woman then called her a “b*tch,” and said “who the f*ck do you think you are?” The woman then took out her phone and wanted to record Williams. Williams claims that the woman dropped her phone, but the woman accused Williams of hitting her, and said she would press charges.

Then Williams claims she said something along the lines of “get your ugly a$$ out of here,” which the flight attendant heard, and he asked her to talk like an adult and not behave like that. Williams asked why she was being chastised, while the other woman was “the one going crazy.”

The woman was then moved to another seat, but she was irate, and other passengers had to pull her to another seat, because she didn’t want to move, or something. That was basically the end of it, as far as Williams is concerned.

Note that two eyewitnesses (with no connection to her otherwise) saw her in the terminal and backed up her version of events, claiming she didn’t touch the other passenger, and that the other passenger was the one who was out of line.

The police officer then takes the version of events from the other passenger, who is really angry, and has a serious attitude with the officer. She’s also worried that her information will be given to Williams, because she’s afraid for her life, and fears that Williams is going to have her killed.

This woman claims that after the initial sequence of events, Williams but her fingernail very close to her eye, so she thought she was going to be physically attacked. She claims Williams was screaming at her, had her hands in her face, and was calling her crazy, so that’s the point at which the woman decides she wants to start recording, in order to protect herself.

She claims that as soon as she took out her phone to record, Williams hit the phone out of her hand, and it flew down to “the end of the airplane,” and she claims that the flight attendant said he saw her knock it out of her hand (to be clear, the flight attendant didn’t give a statement to police, but that’s just what the passenger claims).

You can see the police body cam footage for yourself below.

My take on the two versions of what happened

I think the statements from the two people involved, plus the two eyewitness reports, give us a good general sense of what happened.

First of all, Williams is not going to win any awards for her airplane etiquette. Watching Instagram videos on a flight on a loud volume without headphones? Ugggghhh. Of course bad etiquette is different than assault, so it’s not really core to this confrontation.

Based on listening to these statements, I’m inclined to think that Williams’ version of events is a little closer to the truth than the other woman’s version of events. That’s not to say Williams acted right… she definitely didn’t, based on how she escalated the situation, rather than deescalating the situation. That being said:

  • It’s rather bizarre that the other woman had to be physically moved by other passengers… what on earth?
  • Admittedly this could just be a post-confrontation fight-or-flight response, but Williams is calm, while this other woman has a massive attitude
  • The two eyewitnesses who spoke to police both backed Williams’ version of events, so you have to put some weight on that
  • The fact that this other woman thinks that Williams is going to have her killed is quite a wild stretch
This confrontation took place in Delta first class

Bottom line

Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member Porsha Williams was recently removed from a Delta flight in Atlanta by police, after a passenger claimed that Williams assaulted her.

The confrontation started over Williams watching Instagram videos without headphones, which her seat mate wasn’t happy about (fair enough). The two got into a bit of a verbal argument, at which point the other woman pulled out her phone to record. The woman claims that Williams knocked the phone out of her hand, while Williams claimed that the woman dropped her phone (and that narrative is supported by two others).

What do you make of this Delta inflight incident?

National Enquirer stuff... There must be 100 such incidents each day. Why do you write about it at all ?

As Mariah Carey once said with a shake of the head, "I don't know her."

    It’s always “them”.

Different people have different reactions to events, and this woman was clearly very traumatized and freaked out by Wlliams. Just because Williams appeared tobe calm and has managed to influence the other passengers, doesnt mean Williams is being truthful in her re-telling of what happened. Just because the other passenger is emotionally activated and over-exaggerated a couple of details, does not mean she is lying or that she is in the wrong. Once asked, regardless...

Just because the other passenger is emotionally activated and over-exaggerated a couple of details, does not mean she is lying or that she is in the wrong. Once asked, regardless of how nicely, Williams should have apologized and silenced her videos, instead of turning one irate comment into a massive to-do. And the fact that Williams was the one who got to keep her seat after bring so ugly shows that Williams already received clear bias in her favor.

Anybody part of the Real Housewives of .... is going to be of low class.

Anyone watching anything in public with sound without headphones should be drawn and quartered.

Exactly. And this real housewives franchise scrapes the bottom of the barrel with groups of vacuous people who talk about absolutely nothing. I decided to try and watch an episode once. Money definitely doesn’t bring class.

Agreed. And the fact that Williams got to keep her seat while the other person was forced to move and was even manhandled by other passengers? Just adds insult to injury! :(
