Hyatt Chairman Steps Down Over Epstein Files, As Creepy Emails Released

Hyatt Chairman Steps Down Over Epstein Files, As Creepy Emails Released

68

Well, it’s nice to see some level of accountability for once, though I think he’ll be just fine (thanks to Todd for flagging this).

Tom Pritzker steps down from Hyatt’s board

Hyatt has announced that 75-year-old Tom Pritzker, Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors, will retire from his role effective immediately, and will not seek re-election to the Board of Directors at Hyatt’s upcoming Annual Meeting of Stockholders in May.

Mark Hoplamazian, Hyatt’s President & CEO, will become Chairman of the Board effective immediately. Pritzker has served in his current role since 2004, though has served in senior roles at predecessor entities starting in 1980. As it’s described, during his tenure, he has “provided strategic stewardship as Hyatt expanded its global brand presence, strengthened its asset-light business model, and delivered long-term value for stockholders.”

Here’s what Pritzker officially had to say about his retirement, in Hyatt’s press release:

“I have been a proud member of the Hyatt family since the beginning of Hyatt. As I said in my letter to the Board, it has been both an honor and one of the great experiences of my life to have contributed to Hyatt’s growth. Hyatt is well positioned for the future, and I have great confidence in Mark, our leadership team, and the Board as they continue to build on our strong foundation.”

Meanwhile here’s what Hoplamazian had to say about Pritzker’s departure, and his new position:

“I am honored by the Board’s confidence and look forward to serving as Chairman. Tom’s decision reflects his stewardship and strong commitment to Hyatt over his many decades of service. Looking ahead, we remain focused on executing our strategy for long-term growth, advancing care for our colleagues, delivering meaningful experiences for our guests, and driving performance for owners and value for our stockholders.”

Hyatt’s Chairman is stepping down from the company

The Epstein files is really what’s going on here

If you read Hyatt’s press release, you might assume that Pritzker is just stepping down due to age, or because he’s ready to retire. However, that’s not the case. Instead, it’s because he was featured in the latest release of the Epstein files.

Pritzker did issue a statement apologizing for his involvement, it just wasn’t posted by Hyatt. Here’s what he said:

“Good stewardship also means protecting Hyatt, particularly in the context of my association with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell which I deeply regret. I exercised terrible judgment in maintaining contact with them, and there is no excuse for failing to distance myself sooner.”

So, what did Pritzker do, exactly? In one set of emails released from April 2018 (not the only one), Epstein had emailed Pritzker to ask for help with hotels for Karyna, his last girlfriend (or situationship, or whatever):

karyna is going on an asian exploration first to bali and then kuaa lumpur and tokyo., can you help her the last two places. ?

Pritzker responded as follows:

Yes. I can go with her 🙂
Happy to help, what can I do?

He was obviously looking for hotel stays for her, and Pritzker then got in touch with Karyna, and asked the following in regards to the trip:

What are you going to do there?

Karyna responded as follows:

Going to try to find a new girlfriend for Jeffrey

To which Pritzker then responded the following:

🙂
May the Force be with you.
tjp

Two things stand out to here:

  • It seems less than ideal that Hyatt’s press release talks about how Pritzker “provided strategic stewardship,” as he sure did show some sort of “stewardship” here, eh? “I can go with her,” could you be any creepier?
  • Also, wasn’t Epstein fairly well off? Like, he really needed to reach out to his billionaire buddy to have a hotel in Kuala Lumpur that maybe retails for $150 per night covered? Don’t these people have better things to do? I suppose Pritzker being behind a booking maximizes odds of getting the very best suite, but what a concept, when the chairman of the company is essentially making travel arrangements for sex traffickers

This whole Epstein situation is just absolutely wild to me, and it’s so dismaying to see the type of behavior in the first place, the cover-up, and just how wide these circles run. I guess in life, people want power, money, and sex.

In the case of everything we’re learning about the Epstein files, most of these guys had money and power, so that left sex — their clouded moral judgment is just beyond comprehension. I don’t understand the lack of ethics, because if it were their daughters that were the victims in all of this, I’m sure they’d all feel very differently.

All the Epstein files need to be released, and all of these people need to suffer the consequences for their actions… but let’s get real, that won’t happen.

This whole Epstein thing makes you lose faith in the world

Bottom line

Hyatt Chairman Tom Pritzker is stepping down effective immediately, after being exposed in the latest round of the Epstein files. Officially, Hyatt doesn’t reference this as the reason for his departure, and instead commends him for his “strategic stewardship.” However, Pritzker did issue a separate statement, apologizing for his involvement.

It’s nice to see at least some people taking accountability for their unethical and creepy behavior…

That ball is rolling and gonna be rolling faster and faster downhill. Bondi made a show of distraction last week.

God and Jesus are mentioned in the Epstein files (2017 correspondence with Deepak Chopra). Democrats are now screaming for their resignations. I guess the mere mention of a name is enough to set the Democrats lynch mob off.

We could have been reading this six (6) years ago. Had Biden released the files, which he could have done. But didn't. Thank you, Trump.

    1. Bob Guest

Or 10 years ago when Trump had them but of course he kept telling us there is no bleach book and nothing in the files even as late as last year until he was backed into the corner by his own party. What a wuss.

What would the criminal charges be, and what evidence might exist that could prove them beyond a reasonable doubt? Associating with unsavoury characters is not a crime. Unless there's clear evidence that minors were directly involved, the prosecution would fail.

As usual you can see the peasant class thinks this is political. Upfront I think Trump should be impeached for holding back unredacted files and if he had an ounce of self respect he'd resign.

Don't for one second think that if this blew up under the Biden Administration we wouldn't see the same thing under Garland. The politicians of both parties protect the rich with a few exceptions and those exceptions are not Bernie Sanders and AOC.

That is why these sickos will likely get away with their horror. They have the serfs thinking this is Democrat vs. Republican. At least this freak was fired.

While it's possible a Dem AG would run the same coverup, I disagree that a Dem Congress would refrain from impeaching somebody so obviously implicated. A *sitting Democratic US Senator* was investigated, sent to trial, and sentenced by Biden's DOJ for corruption. Google Bob Menendez. This also happened to a Democractic member of the House of Reps, Henry Cuellar (who Trump just pardoned). Likewise, Eric Adams was on the same path until Trump was elected...

Likewise, Eric Adams was on the same path until Trump was elected and dropped all charges to get a quid pro quo out of Adams. The evidence against these people was clear. Democrats have shown much more willingness to hold their own accountable for lawbreaking than Republicans have.

Personally, I think if Harris had won the election we would have seen quite a few additional indictments of people implicated by the Epstein files. We didn't see it under Biden because the Maxwell case only finished its final appeals and confirmed sentencing in September 2024, 2 months before the election, and that's both a lot of evidence to sift through and runs affoul of DOJ's policy of not pursuing politically sensitive investigations immediately prior to elections.

    2. George Romey Guest

Menendez is a piece of dust compared to this cabal. These are some of the most rich and powerful men ever to roam this planet. They would not have let Menendez get 100 miles near the dock of the island.

Which is why the Clinton, Bush, Obama, Biden and Trump administrations have ignored this issue for 30 years.

Honestly, I'm doubtful that Clinton has anything criminal in there given that he's offered to testify in an open session of Congress on it and Trump and Bondi released files explicitly intended to implicate him while redacting the names and images of other accomplices, INCLUDING Trump. If they had actual bad stuff on Clinton, it would have been released unredacted. There's a lot of rich and powerful people implicated, but I think you're fooling yourself for thinking it's a huge number of high level government officials from past US admins. It's mainly Trump and his toadies.

As far as "ignoring" it goes, this was brought to Alex Acosta in 2005-7 when he was a US Attorney. He gave Epstein his sweetheart deal that basically just gave him probation and in/out access from a jail cell. Guess what? Acosta was buddies with Trump and was Trump's Labor Secretary from 2017-2019, until the renewed case against Epstein forced his resignation.

Guess who was the FL Attorney General from 2011-2019, who also turned a blind eye to Epstein going back to all his old habits? Pam Bondi. Guess who's now in Trump's new administration, and doing her dead level best to obfuscate and obstruct the Congressionally ordered release of the files? Yep, Pam Bondi.

We all know that but the problem is how is that going to happen? You have an entire justice dept going to lengths to hide as much of this as possible. The icky way anything can happen is if the next president revamps the doj and then bring charges. I'm hoping sobre super lawyers out there are preparing a good strategy that can bypass the lead pedo pardoning away.

self-dealing pardons are inherently ultra vires and void; if the current supreme court will not understand this simple principle then we will strip its jurisdiction and replace it with one that does.

If you search the files you'll see that the Epstein gang almost exclusively stayed at Hyatt properties. It appears that he had globalist/diamond status. There were also emails with Hyatt owner and shareholder materials. At Marriott, he didn't even have a loyalty account. They also heavily used AmEx concierges for FHR, etc.

All files that the FBI had were released. So it did happen. What didn't happen is that Trump was not implicated, much to the chagrin of online leftist SJWs. Once again, if Trump were in any way implicated, the Biden admin would have leaked or released it. We all know they would have, they leaked everything and anything politically expedient. Now we know why: it was only their leftist buddies that were hanging out with Epstein.

This comment is incorrect. Numerous emails between Trump and Epstein discuss girls (the youngest being 13 years old at the time) in a manner that suggest Trump had or was to have sex with them. Third, Trump RAN ON RELEASING THESE files. Biden didn't run on releasing this shit, he was letting the DOJ work independently, as it should. Releasing the files was TRUMP's campaign promise. As part of that promise, early last year, Bondi handed out a binder saying Epstein Vol. 1 to a bunch of influencers. She claimed she had Epstein's client list on her desk and more information was coming soon. She then about-faced several months later, said case closed nothing to see here.

This information is coming out now because REPUBLICANS like Thomas Massie and MTG, who I have zero love for, broke with the party over the coverup and got bipartisan legislation passed to release it. Because if we had to rely on Trump to release it all, it would never come out. Why? Because he found out he was implicated.
