Yesterday, View form the Wing broke the story of how a Delta Air Lines pilot was arrested onboard an aircraft. We’re now starting to get more details as to what exactly happened, in what can only be described an incredibly strange incident.
In this post:
Homeland Security storms aircraft, arrests pilot
This incident happened on Saturday, July 26, 2025, and involves Delta flight DL2809, operating from Minneapolis (MSP) to San Francisco (SFO). After a 3hr55min flight, the Boeing 757-300 touched down in San Francisco at 9:31PM, and taxied to its arrival gate.
After the plane arrived at the gate, passengers collected their luggage as usual. However, roughly 10 Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officers then stormed the aircraft, and told passengers to be seated. Some of them ran to the front of the aircraft, and grabbed the first officer, and put him in handcuffs. Since this was a 757, deplaning generally happens through the second door.
The first officer and his belongings were removed from the aircraft, at which point passengers could continue the deplaning process. The captain was caught completely off guard, and repeatedly told passengers that he had no clue what just happened.
As a passenger explained:
“I looked at him and I said, ‘What’s going on?’ He said, ‘I have no idea,’ And he genuinely looked like this was a surprise that all of a sudden there was people on the plane because he had had us stand up, we were starting to take our stuff out for arrival and everybody was already in the overhead bins.”
The pilot was reportedly wanted on child porn charges
Initially, there was virtually no information as to why the pilot was taken off the plane in this way. Delta refused to comment, DHS hasn’t responded to requests for comment, etc. According to Fox News, a senior federal source shared that the pilot was arrested on charges of child sexual abuse materials. Oy, that’s not good.
At first I thought it was a bit of an overkill that you’d have 10 people storm the aircraft in this way, rather than just meeting him in the terminal. But I suppose the concern is that if he was tipped off about authorities waiting for him, he might get suspicious, and try to make a run for it, or do something else irrational.
If these charges are determined to be correct, I hope he gets the help he needs and punishment he deserves (to prevent something like this from happening again)..
This isn’t the first time that we’ve seen a pilot arrested in this way. Roughly a year ago, a Frontier Airlines pilot was arrested onboard an aircraft, shortly before the departure of a flight. As you’d expect, the flight ended up being canceled. I guess a “bad actor” having the job of being a pilot at least makes them easy to catch, since they’re easy to track based on their flight rosters.
Bottom line
A Delta flight from Minneapolis to San Francisco had a dramatic ending, when DHS stormed the plane upon landing, to arrest one of the pilots. He was reportedly wanted on child pornography charges. Like any other profession, there are some bad apples who are pilots. As a passengers, this has to be quite the thing to witness.
What do you make of this situation?
From Epstein, to Trump, to Delta pilots, to Congressmen.
What is the American and Zionist obsession with exploiting children for sexual pleasure?
Absolutely disgraceful and inhumane from a morally bankrupt society
This kind of broad-brush condemnation based on isolated cases isn't helpful. Child exploitation unfortunately occurs across all societies and cultures worldwide - it's not unique to any particular group. Rather than making sweeping generalizations, we should focus on supporting victims and improving systems to prevent these crimes everywhere.
Being Zionist might be the reason for a lot of negative things, but this isn't one of them.
Dim Tunn already equates for 11 out of 44 comments on this article, multiple times an hour. The normal people of this world can see that it's deeply bizarre and indicative of a mental health crisis.
The only thing I see coming from them is that everyone else just happens to be a TD alt.
i feel bad for you, Tim.
p.s.: Lilburn?
SAMHSA really does wonders.
I promise you, reach out to them and they will help you get better. All it takes is some time and conviction.
It will be hard to overcome such a severe mental illness, but you'll be so much happier and healthier afterwards. We're all rooting for you on this journey.
tim, everyone knows this is one of your alts, bud. the writing is the same
This is a classic symptom of paranoid schizophrenia, thinking everyone is out to get them. It's really sad to see honestly.
No Dim, there really just are that many normal people that see how deeply disturbing your behavior is. I strongly urge you to get help, before you end up doing something you might regret.
this is particularly funny given that my goal, as previously stated, is to get Tim to self-harm
Child sexual abuse material is a better term to use rather than child pornography.
There’s too much sanitizing of sex crimes.
I frequently see victims referred to as young women or young men instead of children.
I see “sexual misconduct” used as a sanitised phrase for rape.
Why is it a better term, it's more like a different term.
But agree sanitizing words, that's too much.
Maybe we should sanitize "victim" and use involuntary recipients?
This woke snowflake thing is going way too far.
Imagine seeing this kind of news and your first reaction being a Tim Dunn gotcha comment
imagine seeing this kind of news and immediately jumping to "well AA and UA probs have people like this too"
imagine a fraud jumping in to grab as many headlines using their flawed logic.
would love to know:
a) how my logic is flawed
b) exactly what "headline" i'm grabbing? i'm literally posting in the comments section of a blog. granted, a very good and deservedly well-read blog, but i think you are confused if you think i am getting "headlines" out of posting here
c) your current blood pressure
@dim you gotta stop. you are operating outside of reality
@betterbub you gotta stop. you are operating outside of reality
I think it's time for Dim Tunn to take a timeout. Their comments below show how their TD obsession goes beyond the pale, and is truly unhealthy.
This is as much as for their sake, as for everyone else. I'm pretty sure there was a rule about Tim Dunn related usernames getting banned as well anyways.
In their very own words: "I hope he gets the help he needs and the punishment he deserves"
100% with you on this.
To the fake Eskimo above.
Faking a fake name, do you have some identity crisis?
"I hope he gets the help he needs and the punishment he deserves"
Don't go play with Tim, you need way more help than him.
nah i'm good, thx bud/TD alt
Mason is right.
Ben has done a pretty good job of cleaning out the undesirables of society but a few linger and need to be dealt with just like this purported criminal.
totally right, shitposting is morally equivalent to kiddie porn, you go TD!!!!! definitely not proving my original point or anything!!
Tim, did you just equate comments on a blog to child sexual abuse? Or even make any sort of comparison at all?
he sure did!
Very well articulated Mason, thank you, one would find it tremendously difficult to disagree with you old bean.
Unnecessary show of force by low IQ toxic masculinity police. Abolish the police. Just get the pilot psychiatric help, drop the punishment, please. The United States is an overly punitive society with the largest prison population in the world. Abolish prisons.
Child exploitation occurs when parents aren’t doing their job looking after their own kids. Parents, do your damn job, please.

Delta is a business that depends on on-time performance. Removing a pilot from the workforce hurts that metric and causes tangible revenue loss. Delta should sue DHS for causing that loss.
Pedophiles deserve the death penalty.
Nobody deserves the death penalty. That’s barbaric, the very definition of a cruel and unusual punishment the Constitution of the United States bans outright.
END your pathetic posts TIPPING.
Your thoughts are completely out of step with reality and the thinking people’s of this world.
It's just Arps with his latest troll sock puppet. You wanna talk sick people with unhealthy compulsions, he's a great example.
Likely that did not want him loose in the terminal where he could have run putting people in danger.
There may be a job at Vueling, where pilots less likely to kick boys off planes are needed.
Being "travel-related" is coincidental. It could have been anyone in any occupation at any organization. Recently, Oklahoma's superintendent of public schools had porn on his laptop . . . during a public meeting. It doesn't matter that he holds himself out as being religious and about traditional family values. It doesn't matter that he insists on religious teachings in the classroom. Really, it could be anyone.
@ Jack -- Yeah, I don't think the story here is that there's a pilot who is guilty of child pornography charges. The story, if you ask me, is the impact this had on passengers, and how this was carried out, as that's not something you see every day.
Actually Lucky, the pilot isn’t guilty… yet. He is just allegedly a CP offender.
But Jack, when it “can be anyone, really” and that person is creating or executing laws with a severe religious influence and then “allegedly” caught behaving opposite of the morals and values that he wants to press upon others? That kind of hypocrisy needs to be met with swift, firm and crippling justice.
Being retired Customs, I knew it was CP. You get them as soon as you can. The pilot might also be FFDO so you want to secure that weapon as well.
again, it he was an FFDO, it shows poor judgment to have risked a shootout w/ 200 people behind him.
If he feared being arrested, his bag and his weapon would have been accessible to him as soon as the plane landed if not before.
Didn't realised you were an expert in law enforcement as well, Tim.
that's just dumb. How many years of federal law enforcement training have you had? how many years did you work at an international airport as a HSI Special Agent?
Tim, shhhh.....adults are speaking.
adults may be pounding away on the internet but they aren't thinking.
Law enforcement doesn't have a corner on common sense.
If there was a fear of gunfire, arresting someone surrounded by 200 people makes no sense.
If the fear of escape was the issue, then 10 people is huge overkill. They can't even all fit in the aisle of first class and the forward galley of a 757 if wearing their presumed weapons...

It was excessive and unnecessary force but not surprising.
and, in case you missed it, the government IS elected by the people who aren't amused by the show of federal law enforcement of late
wish it were unbelievable that Timmy's response to this is "he who is without sin can cast the first stone"
Just own the fact that a delta employee did something unforgivable. jesus. not everything calls for equivocation. i know many people find this bit annoying (your loss - i invented it and it is very funny) but surely we can all agree that equivocating around kiddie porn is not cool? yes, agree with tim that...

and we are supposed to believe that a fraud like you that is incapable of using your own name rather than mocking someone else is qualified to lecture anyone on anything about morals.

Not a single company the size of any US airline has ever embraced the actions of employees like this.
This stuff happens and the sheer size of DL makes it certain it would have happened at some point - no different than the AA FA that was just convicted of trying to film young girls in the lav.
Save the outrage and condemnation. DL undoubtedly told law enforcement where to find the guy. They knew it was coming. They don't want him numbered with their employees any more than any other airline has wanted violent and depraved criminals on their payroll.
what's most important is that you're not mad
again, for someone that hides in the shadows of the real world using a twisted and made-up name, you are as ignorant as your ability to read the room as you are in your ability to critically think.
I am mad that people like this exist.
I don't blame anyone else except those people's poor choices.

workplace arrests are pretty common. This is a story just because it happened on a common carrier which are always highly visible.
Sadly, there will be more workplace arrests for the same thing elsewhere in the US this week.
You tell him Tim!
Dim by name and lacking any insight or integrity by nature.
Sorry Ben, but your comment just doesn’t resonate when you say things like”I hope he gets the punishment and help he needs”
@ Dublin -- The punishment or the help part?
i think it would read more clearly as "I hope he gets the help he needs and the punishment he deserves"
@ Dim Tunn -- Fair, that's a better way to phrase it, thanks.
someone that twists words and letters as much as you do is in no place to tell anyone else how to write
the opposite actually - it makes me a better writer :)
In your dreams Sonny Tunn …. :-)
sad situation but with 100k plus employees, all of the big 3 have every kind of criminal for employees; no business can properly screen for everything someone does in their private lives. Another site carried the story of an AA FA that was sentenced to 18 plus years for trying to film young girls in the lav. Just as with the Idaho murderer, we have a criminal justice system because some people are not fit...

As for the show of force, that is the way it is done these days. Two would have clearly done the job.
DL probably was served w/ an order to provide information on where there employee was and cooperated.
He who is without sin can throw the first stone.
Regarding Child Porn Allegations, maybe this quote from the Gospel of John should be reconsidered.
(„He who is without sin can throw the first stone.“)
“As for the show of force two would’ve clearly done the job”.
Wrong. 100% totally wrong. Two FBI agents in South Florida a few years ago were ambushed shot and killed trying to serve a child porn warrant. These folks know they are absolutely dead treat going to prison. Many will not go quietly.
Everybody wants to comment when they see law-enforcement in action and in a democracy that’s the way it should...

But the reality is sometimes apprehension is ugly and violent. Because you’re dealing with ugly and violent people.
this is an aircraft cockpit. How many places do you think the guy could have escaped.
Perhaps he was carrying a weapon but there are registries for armed pilots.
If they generally thought there was going to be a firefight they it is fair to question why they tried to arrest him on an aircraft w/ 200 people
