JetBlue’s “Terminal Man”

I’m sure most of you have heard about the guy that’s flying JetBlue nonstop for a month on their “all-you-can-fly” pass, never leaving airports. Anyway, he’s blogging over at, and it’s quite entertaining to follow along.

As someone that has done six transpacific flights in five days and has also done 30 domestic segments in a week, I’d like to point out that this guy is absolutely insane. He’s going to experience sleep deprivation of the highest form, not to mention will smell like…. well, bad.

Nonetheless it’s entertaining to follow along, given that he has only been flying for a few days. It only gets worse from here. I have to wonder at what point he’ll regret this. Nonetheless it looks like the JetBlue employees are taking great care of him, which is a smart move.

  1. I just had the pleasure of meeting him this morning, and guested him into the BOS RCC. He’s seems to be pretty sane, and actually sort of looked at me like I was the insane one for being on a bos-ord-sfo-eug-sfo-lax-iad-bos mileage run.

I think the really hard part of his challenge isn’t the flights. It’s sleeping in airports, no hotels allowed.

  2. I can’t imagine the lust he will have for a full bed. I just did my first MR (with help from lucky) and the whole time I was thinking about a flat bed, even though I was in domestic first the whole trip.

I wonder if the airport hotels or meetin rooms count for his “no hotels” rule.
