Please also note Marriott's not-so-good policy if your other room(s) do/does not have the same check-in and check-out dates as your room. I think this policy is very unfriendly. This is what Marriott replied to me, and they would not waive it. (I am lifetime Titanium if that matters).
As a valued member, you can earn Marriott Bonvoy® Points for up to three (3) guest rooms with the same check-in and check-out dates during any stay, provided you stay in one of the reserved guest rooms and pay a qualifying rate. You have received the Elite Night Credit and Marriott Bonvoy® points for one room. Upon review of the reservations during this time, the check-in and check-out dates of the other room were not the same and therefore are not eligible for earning points.
I've consistently gotten benefits applied to second rooms (but never third) with multiple rooms under my name with bonvoy and Hilton Honors, outside the US/CA.
I've never had to ask.
Within the US/CA... it's not like you can tell the difference beyond your high floor room!
I think it also depends on the property and the level of hotel as some will also extend to the additional room. I do want to make one comment about the higher end Marriott credit cards that provide the 85,000 point certificate. This benefit is not as good as it used to be because many of the luxury hotels charge just above the limit in order to avoid people from using the certificate.
I’ve always found Hilton honour the second room perks. Recently stayed at Hilton Park Lane and Hilton Budapest and in both cases this was the case. Park Lane were a little sniffy about it making out it was a big deal, but I just smiled and said thank you. In Budapest (which has a lovely lounge), at check in they just said of course all the rooms have been upgraded and guests can use the lounge.
I believe both Marriott and Hyatt have a stipulation that the stays have to be the same dates. I need to book 4 rooms with 3 different set of dates. It is a limited service property (Hyatt House) so elite benefits don't matter and splitting the elite night between other family members won't make a difference since they don't stay enough to move up a tier. I do want EN and points for my room. If I book 3rd party I would assume I would get that for the primary room booked direct? I am planning to use a couple of delta cards to get the delta stay credit and probably a Bilt Paladium semi-annual credit/Bilt cash to pay for some of the other rooms. Any data points on 3rd party bookings made at the same property but with varying dates invalidate the direct booking earning EN/points?
