A roughly 14,000 square foot Chase Sapphire Lounge is expected to open at Miami International Airport (MIA), in Concourse E, which I’d consider to be a really exciting development, as the airport sure could use some new lounge options. However, don’t expect for it to open for a couple of years.

I fly through MIA a lot on my way to the Caribbean. I had the QR Privilege card for a while as a way of getting into the Flagship lounge, but that status expired recently. Not looking forward to slumming it in the Centurion until this one opens!
I think you said that the BA lounge isn't admitting guests on the basis of OW status, right? Otherwise I could get in there with my AA status.
Which makes a mockery of the alliance system…though BA isn’t the only offender in this category (hello, DL!).
What happened to the BA/AA Lounge in E? It was massive and could be great space for a lounge unless they moved offices in there. I always figured it could be a good Flagship as its close to the mid section of D and all of E.
You *may be* admitted via priority pass. But it’s not guaranteed.
Plenty of times I was turned away from BOS Sapphire Lounge. And that’s a good thing.
Great news. If we're going to have to jump through hoops with the CSR, the quid pro quo should be an expanded lounge network that feels a step above Centurion lounges.
LOUSY and messy MIA getting another Lounge at D&E Concourse!
Of course a majority of Chase Sapphire Cardholders are in the US, but do they typically fly AA or those airlines departing from a Concourse that is already full with competitors, when it comes to Lounges?
Instead of thinking like a business person, to "chase" AmEx "members" away by offering a lounge where NO Centurion lounge is next door, so they could offer a service, that would attract those who might not do business with AmEx?
Surprised, that MIA is not interested in getting more decent lounges to other concourses or finally get there sh... together and connect ALL concourses like an international hub should be connected airside!
It is and will be for a long time, a messy, lousy airport in my eyes, avoid it where possible.
Immigration, structure, setup, customs, check-in, departure areas . . . a messy!
If it rains, and it often rains like crazy, the terminals are filled with buckets and closed areas. . . . . keep it simple, a messy airport!
Any lounge is better than nothing but I would really lower your expectations on this.
The Chase DFW lounge was announced in 2023 and still is not conplete with no opening date announced. So, I would not expect Chase MIA until 2029 or 2030 at the earliest.
Also the new Chase LAS lounge has a nice design but very few people can get in since it has a laughable 87 seats.
I guess Chase was willing to pay a bigger bribe to the MDC commissioners than Cap 1. Good for them!
It's the least they can do... (well, not really, but, glad they're at least doing this!)
I read there was a bidding war between Chase and Capital One for the space and Chase won out.
