This feels like the Florida equivalent of "elderly woman plows through Family Dollar glass window after mistakenly confusing gas for brake pedal".

Florida equivalent?? That exact scenario happens in Massachusetts at Dollar Tree’s, too

There are several photos showing the skid marks of the tires on the runway. So the activation of the brakes fits the evidence on the runway.

The question is intentional, "oops" like airplane or mechanical/electrical signal fault somewhere showing inputs and resulting brakes activating?

787 dreamliner is causing several problems
initially when this air craft was introduced it was giving teething
problem like lithium battery. secondly airindia flt AI171 met with
catastrophic accident due to hydraulic system failure which
caused loss of power to the engine
thirdly air vietnam VN incident at Munich
787 is a problematic aeroplane it must be discontinued by
boeing co.

AI171 accident cause is not determined. But hydraulic system failures do not shut down engines, nor do they explain why the FDR shows the fuel cutoff switches to both engines were moved from Run to Cutoff.

VN34's FDR shows the Captain's side rudder pedals and brakes were applied on several different occasions during the takeoff. The brake applications corresponded with speed reductions which most directly caused the overrun. Engine power and flaps appear to be set correctly. To be clear - it didn't show the brakes engaged on their own. It showed the Captain's side brakes (only - not the First Officer's) were pushed. That will cause ANY plane to overrun a takeoff, if you ride the brakes while trying to accelerate.

Also noteworthy in the Interim Report (not mentioned in the article) is that the CVR portion of the recordings - which captures the final two hours of flight deck - doesn't include the takeoff. Per the report: "The audio recording of the take-off was overwritten. The landing and switching off of the power occurred more than two hours after take- off." Not a conspiracy, but a circumstance of the certification requirements of the CVR and this flight (2 hr recording is the rule). The plane took off at about 11:53UTC. It landed back in Munich at about 13:56UTC. So all recordings of what the pilots said during the takeoff were lost.

But nice try attempting to tar and feather the 787.

The name of the pilot who intentionally crashed AI171 is "Sumeet Sabharwal" not "hydraulic system failure"
