Are there any EK F redemptions still available to QF members? A quick search yielded no results. If not, this is worthless.

Theoretically yes, EK apparently didn't block those awards for QF members, but finding them in the issue. Nothing is easy to find, especially in premium cabins. (I've just booked an absolute unicorn, LAX-SYD in F on QF12 in early December.)

There are better options for US transferable currencies.

I find that QF F awards do pop up with AA miles from time to time and it's much cheaper. Flew DFW-SYD in F earlier this year for 110k AA miles.

@Omar. True, QF redemption rates are high, often 60% to 100% higher than AA's, but for me the average cost of acquiring QF points is typically half what I can get AA miles for (e.g. I have QF point credit cards, and those points are effectively free, and can't get an AA miles card in AU). So if a fare from QF points is twice the cost it would be in AA miles, for me it's effectively the same cost. As they say, YMMV, but for me that's how the maths works out.

Saw this announcement on DoC as well. That's a decent promotion. Have transferred from Amex to QF before, redeemed for 3x value on domestic First within Australia. Like, 2 hour flights on 737s in recliner between SYD-MEL/ADL (no IFE, great food though). Unfortunately, you rarely find Business or First long-haul, say between SYD-USA, anymore using points, or on partners (used to be some sweet spots redeeming on EK, never having to set food in Oz).

Let's be real, those are gone, mate.

It's already at that point, practically. Visited Oz earlier this year. Looked all-over for redemptions on long-haul Business/First with QF, EK, etc... nothing. Used GUCs with Delta for LAX-SYD instead.
