The Condorpolitan: Condor's Fun New Signature Cocktail
We’re increasingly seeing a trend whereby airlines are introducing signature drinks, or drinks designed specifically to be enjoyed inflight. This can range from a special coffee blend, to a special beer, to a special cocktail. Along those lines, German leisure airline Condor has just introduced a cute new signature cocktail, which I look forward to…

Ah Germany…, where the definition of ‘elegance and luxury’ is whatever was cool everywhere else 30 years ago 🙂
Lame. Are other drinks included in the flight? Haven't done my research, but did splurge on the bulkhead business sear for a SFO-FRA late this month.
How far airlines will go to be the cheapest of them all is mind boggling
The problem with fancy cocktails is it's really hard to beat a Jack and Coke. It's not because a Jack and Coke is so delicious or sophisticated. But when you drink Jack and Coke you are transported psychologically to fond memories of your past when you were drinking Jack and Coke.
CdG- HEL in Finnair's "Business Class" which really is the 2 first rows of the Economy cabin.
I have paid 3800 euros for CDG-HEL-JFK in J and am seated 29" ahead of passengers who have paid 450 euros in Y on the same itinerary (They are the smart ones). J amenities on this first sector are the free choice of 1 food item on the otherwise pay-menu, one drink (vodka miniature) and coffee.
I ask for one piece of their blue chocolate caramel wrapped candies. The FA brings me 4 "because they are sold by 4, and the price is 2.50 euros".
I explain that I want only 1 and am in Business Class. "No difference" , she says, "2.50 please". I would have returned it but I had semi-unwrapped one, so no good.
I only paid because I had a tight connection and didn't want to be dragged off he plane like the doctor on United
They got their 2.50 but I dined on the story or a full winter and never flew them again. 4 RT per year at 3,800 euros is 15,200
There's always someone cheaper than you can imagine.
They're never going to be taken seriously as an airline with that ridiculous livery. Even Spirit has more sense than to do this hideous "beach umbrella" thing.
Looks like the AirAsia signature cocktail they are serving for their red carpet passengers at the lounge
Interesting how you promote this drink and it is in a bottle - premade. In many other posts you value the drinks that are not completely pre-made especially creative non alcoholic options, but you seem to really promote this drink...
Intriguing. As Lucky often writes, business class is all about the seat. Compare Condor's seat to Lufthansa's: I know which airline I'd take more seriously. Lufthansa never gets my business (nor does Emirates: the A380 isn't bad, but those seats in the 777...).
It seems strange to choose an airline based on the fuselage paint colours, rather than the seat. (Assuming it flies where you want and when you want, of course.)
@ iamhere -- It's a signature drink for sale in economy on a leisure airline, so I think that comes with managing expectations. I'm not expecting it to be made at the Emirates A380 onboard bar.
@ JoePro -- Yeah, in long haul business class all drinks are included. Well, except this one, I guess.
I don't get it - if the drink costs €7.99 and comes in 0.1 liter tubes, how does that equate to €71.14 per liter?
Couldn’t agree more, just flew on them from YYZ to FRA, and honestly I love their prime seats, soft product, fabulous flight attendants on both flights. Their ground game is nothing short of catastrophic, but once you are on board, it’s great. Way ahead of LH, BA and co.
Finnair business class catering is not selecting 1 item from a buy on board menu. With exception of some of the shorter flights in the Nordic region, there is a hot meal in business class.
It is true that they run the Euro-business style cabin, with same seats as economy, just with a blocked middle seat. But otherwise your described experience is not the short haul business class concept of Finnair.
No @Biglaw... YOU are transported to happy memories from your past. Others would prefer something else.
I flew condor business in the prime seat. Asked for this drink and the FA brought it to me. He didn’t charge me, or even let me know it was not free
But it tasted a little bit like cough syrup lol
