It will be up to creditors. If liquidating the airline with proceeds going to creditors (unsecured of course after secured) provides a greater return then unless a Judge orders otherwise the airline will be out of business.

I've been frantically googling to see if they will be in operation the beginning of June as I have flights planned within Florida. It seems they will be operational till end of June.
That said, I am very sad to hear of their demise because the Tampa to Key West route is a game changer for me. So easy and quick as opposed to driving. I'm not driving to Key West ever!!! That's a long trip. Fingers crossed for Silver Airways!

Given what the US Trustee and now the Judge has said, it makes one wonder why he basically just gave Silver permission to continue losing money for another couple months. I guess the judge figures that's how long it will take to burn through the KIA II loaned cash?
Good advice! We were supposed to fly Silver today EIS to SJU but the flight (along with other 3M flights) has yet to depart SJU. We had to buy walk up fares on 9K. Feel bad for its employees.
