I guess I don’t understand why things can’t be handled more professionally. Why couldn’t they arrest him after his shift was over and he was back? Why do the legal authorities always do something that will ruin someone’s life and job? Americans need to get their act together. Democrats are lowering the standards of living in America at a very past pace and our legal system is exacerbating it. it’s a pathetic country that we’re living in. I don’t remember these type of things happening in the 70s 80s and 90s when I was growing up. I know I don’t have much time left of my life, but I weep. I literally weep for the future generations to have to deal with this type of society that’s emerging and unfolding.

The aviator could have thrown an ornamental potted vase plant at a wall outside his place out of frustration with the wife sitting inside the house after an altercation for her not paying the electric bill or car payment AGAIN forcing him to miss a trip and been arrested. This is how stupid DV laws are in many states across our nation. I say give this guy a break until there are more details. There are plenty of psycho girlfriends out there good at manipulating and making up crap. Why also could this aviator not been arrested at the end of his trip or in DFW with a heads ups to the company, rather than inconveniencing all these passengers? I am pretty sure there were passengers, missing their kids weddings, grandparents on their death beds, and cancer or medical treatments not performed. Get to know the real crazy of the Violencia Domestica laws rather than the HEADLINE DV.
What if the pilot knew he was going to be arrested and decided to take his life by flying the plane into the ground? Would you still be happy the plane took off on time?

A frustrating event doesn’t necessarily make a Pilot mental. That is faulty deductive reasoning. So yes agreed maybe it is better to err on the side of safety as is the norm in aviation. Just don’t go paint this guy as mental as well as a wife-beater t-shirt too. That is a good point and we don't know the specifics of this case (nor is it really our business, and depending on circumstances may be sealed record). I had an employee arrested and now is on a sex offender list because a minor was inside one of the 20 other stalls in the restroom where he exposed himself to an officer. Not that he should have done any of the above in the first place, but the laws are written with such a broad capture that much more is included than what was probably the original intent.
That was pretty close some years ago. It's down a few percent these days maybe to 7%. There are a few restrictions that can make it kind of a pain depending on the airline/cities.

Watching from afar it is almost pathetic how "Trumped up" the charges against Trump appear to everyone.
The bias in the US Courts almost is third world. Charges in New York where there was no victim and no crime were ridiculous and especially entertaining watching the prosecution team unravel because of their perjury. That the whole circus was not thrown out shows the level of corruption in the system.

Only if you're willfully blind. The man stole millions in donations from the children's cancer charity he founded in order to fund his campaign and personal lifestyle. He used campaign funds to pay hush money to a porn star for an affair he had while his wife was pregnant. He never divested from his businesses, and while in office he charged his secret service protection and other government workers exorbitant rates to stay at his properties while directing government business TO his properties, he used his position as president to try and blackmail a foreign head of state for dirt on his political opponent, and after failing a literal putsch at the capitol he left office with over 13000 official documents, some of which were state secrets so classified that even the indictment had to redact their compartmentalization. He held those documents for months after leaving office while NARA tried to get him to return them, the only reason he got raided and indicted under the Espionage act was because he refused to give them back.
I could keep going. I'll leave you with this though. 8 of Trump's campaign advisors, members of his administration, and his personal lawyer were convicted of perjury, conspiracy, evidence tampering, obstruction of justice, etc. etc. It should be striking that so many people close to Trump keep getting convicted of crimes. Why do you want a President whose closest advisors all keep turning out to be foreign assets or white collar criminals? What does it say about Trump that that's the kind of company he keeps, assuming they aren't just taking the bullet for Teflon Don the same way the 1920s mafiosos would operate?
Just prescribing a couple more hours of CNN to treat those so acutely suffering TDS here as this you really got to be kidding me “pronoun” asked others not to R U S H to judgement regarding the accusations against the pilot like a not very smart so called ABC news anchor puppet recently did.
Side note, one can always seek to cutback their Communist New Network intake prior to making that much needed appointment.
