I was at a Waffle House yesterday for breakfast and listening to the blue collar workers and farmers complain about the egg price surcharge. I stormed up to them and demanded that they stop dragging down America. I reminded them that food might be expensive and all, but at least its the Gulf of America now and its called Fort Bragg again. I reminded them of their priorities.
They realized that I was correct and thanked me for helping them reset their priorities towards making American great again.

I'm no fan of the turmoil that's going on right now, but to the question, what's wrong with "notice to air missions" -- like a lot of attempts to redesign language for whatever purpose, this grammatically / syntactically doesn't sound right or make any sense. You don't address or speak to an "air mission". You address a person, and that's what NOTAMs were designed for from the beginning. "Notice to ". Come up with a wholesale correctly phrased replacement if that is the intention. Don't make people say things that don't make sense.

If NOTAM was fine enough as an abbreviation, why go to so much trouble to have to redefine the words underlying it? Why not just leave it as an abbreviation (or initialism or whatever the right term)?
