Marriott Bonvoy is the world’s largest hotel loyalty program. What many people don’t realize is that the program has an unpublished status challenge offer. With this, you can unlock either Bonvoy Gold or Platinum status by staying a certain number of nights in around three months, and it’s definitely a shortcut worth being aware of.

You can get the Brilliant with a fine SUB which is worth way more than the annual fee. That makes the card a moneymaker the first year.

Then every year afterwards you can stay at someplace like the St. Regis Chicago or the RC Atlanta with the ANC which cost $700 or more a night cash.

$700 for the night plus $300 dining credit is $1000 value which makes the card a moneymaker every going forward.

@Robert A it isn’t exactly free either as it does come with costs from staying at hotels that come with a you must know how to navigate the annoying Marriott guide to the breakfast benefit and we all know that some of these hotels love to play games in order to not offer you the breakfast by claiming the restaurant is not a part of the hotel. And that is totally absurd as I had stayed in non-Marriott affiliated hotels where the restaurant is not a part of the hotel but if you are entitled to breakfast you get it nonetheless without any hassle. It just shows how any elite status with Marriott is worthless now. The only thing free with Marriott is you are clearly free of any real tangible benefits.

"That being said, if you’re in the United States and have access to credit cards, then it’s worth remembering that Marriott Bonvoy elite status is basically handed out like candy. There are several credit cards offering hotel elite status."

Marriott’s bs never ends. More made up benefits. Notice they don’t give you specifics of who actually to call/speak to and how to specifically request it.

Just call the customer care or write an email to their general support email. Both works
