Review: Sheraton Milan Malpensa Airport

The only thing missing is you walk out the back door into the train station with very fast service to the two main stations in town. The hotel is literally on top of the train station. I have also had a excellent breakfast at the main restaurant.

Surprised to see decent food out all day in a Sheraton club lounge, definitely a positive! It overall seems like a good airport hotel. Do you know if any of the rooms had an airport view? One thing that I like about staying at an airport hotel is a nice view of the airport straight from my room, it is something I always request.

I've stayed at that hotel once before as well and it's a great hotel and very convenient. We also had the pizza while there and it was remarkably good!!

The Malpensa Express Train takes about 45 minutes from downtown to Terminals 1 and 2 and leaves every half hour. It's very helpful if you decide to stay in town instead of the airport.

I can't speak highly enough of this hotel. I was there July 2nd I mean it's an airport hotel. But I simply pulled in the garage & dropped my car at Europcar and feared the slog to the hotel. Um no. Just through the doors. I swam in the pool and my view.....the alps whole swimming. The restaurant food was actually good. I had the sea bass and it was buttery and delicious.

I received the same welcome gift of candies which was nice

Check out a breeze. Walk through an "airport museum" thing to check in and then onto security and into duty free where it's an open theme plethora of consumer overdose (like WDW in Orlando or universal in LA you have to walk through the open themed gift shop after the ride)

The best thing was building the Airport hotel. And the Sheraton is a top tier airport hotel

Definetly worth a stay before you fly out the next morning

I stayed there in May and agree with most of the review. I also had an unreasonably long delay checking in and out, and you must check out if you need a receipt as they will not email you your bill. Other contributors also hit a bullseye on this hotel by mentioning the easy access to Milan on the train right outside the lobby doors, as well as to Lake Como (take the train toward Milan 3 stops and then make an easy transfer to Como...about 45 minutes total to either Como or Milan). Also as mentioned, the breakfast buffet was extensive and good. Biggest downside: the upgraded "mountain view room" is not what you think. My first stay there you could barely make out the Alps miles away on a clear day. A week later I returned and it was cloudy, so you would have no idea the Alps were out there. Biggest tip: If you don't have access to the lounge but have a Priority Pass, there is a airport lounge in the terminal pre-security with a decent spread of food options and drinks. It's about a 5 minute walk from the Sheraton lobby.

Glad to see this positive review and the additional comments. I stayed here about 6 months after the hotel opened and it was a disaster. Looks like they really cleaned up their act. Very good to know. Thanks!

While the decor of the room leaves a lot to be desired for, the rest of the hotel looks decent, if not quite nice, by Sheraton standards. This is yet another example of why Sheraton is a lost brand. Marriott really needs to re-flag and de-flag a lot of Sheraton properties, along with many of its older Marriott hotels in corporate office parks.
